Sermon Notes: _________________________________________

______________________________________________________ O Wretched Man I Am
______________________________________________________ O, wretched man that I am now
______________________________________________________ And wretched I have been,
When lost in wicked sinful flesh
______________________________________________________ And clinging to my sin.
______________________________________________________
Yet, Christ has sav’d me by His grace
______________________________________________________ His precious blood He shed;
He took my sins upon Himself,
______________________________________________________ My curse upon His head.
______________________________________________________
O, wretched man that I am still,
______________________________________________________ Though Christ had paid it all.
______________________________________________________ Yet, what I wish I do not do
I’m weak and do still fall.
______________________________________________________
This wretchedness that Christ allows,
______________________________________________________
Reveal’d by holy truth;
______________________________________________________ Keeps me clinging to His cross
And grace with pow’r to soothe.
______________________________________________________
______________________________________________________ This wretchedness I suffer now
Doth work within me grace;
______________________________________________________ To grow in Christ and holiness
Till we are face to face.
______________________________________________________
______________________________________________________ Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ,
Who’ll come again to claim
______________________________________________________ This wretched one he calls His own
______________________________________________________ And purge me from all shame.
