TECHNICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL REQUIREMENTS

Please note that upon license renewal or when designing a new medical facility the following
ARCHITECTURAL requirements will be inspected:

1. Wash basin in each consultation room


2. Wash basin in treatment rooms
3. Sterilization room in dental facilities with wash basin(separate access)
4. Handicapped toilet(choose one toilet)
5. Dirt utility room with separate access.
6. Clean utility room with separate access
7. Size of consultation room should not be less than 12 sqm if containing an examination bed and
9 sqm if without an examination bed.
8. Minimum width for consultation room 3m.
9. Minimum width for treatment room 2 m.
10. Minimum area for treatment room is 7.5 sqm.
11. Corridor width not less than 120 cm.
12. Gynecology consultation room should have private access to toilet.

A clear AutoCAD drawing plan should be provided with the following points:

doctor shift timings under each doctor name.(in case of more than one dr. in one room)
Name of doctor and his speciality in each clinic (clearly shown in the drawing plan).
Furniture layout (doctor desk, examination bed, hand wash basin).
Clear dimensions and areas of consultation rooms, treatment rooms, dirt room, clean room,

Remarks for adding a doctor:

PLZ REFER TO MOH WEBSITE AND REVIEW NEW RULES FOR LAYOUT SUBMISSION(REGULATIONS AND
CONDITIONS) WHERE A SPECIAL FORM WILL BE FILLED AND PLAN WILL BE INSERTED IN THE DESIGNATED AREA

If the number of doctors in the facility exceeds 8 doctors a list can be provided where the following
titles will be stated (list should be beside the plan):
1. enumeration of rooms (each consultation room will have a specific number matching the one in
the table)
2. name of doctor will be clearly stated in the second column
3. specialty of doctor will be stated in the third column
4. status of doctor will be stated in the fourth column(presently working or not or Dr to be added)
5. shift timing for each doctor (part time or full time and starting and finishing shift time)
