And by Your Might, which nothing can Wa be' iz-zatikal-latee laa yaqumu laha
resist; shay

And by Your Greatness, which has filled Wa be adha-matikal-latee mala-at kul-la
all things; shay
And by Your Power, which towers over
all things;
Wa besol-taanikal-ladhee alaa kul-la
shay
And by Your Face, which remains after
the annihilation of all things,
Wa be-waj-hikal baaqee bada fanaa-e
kul-li shay
And by Your Names, which have filled Wa be-as-maa-ikal-latee ma-la-at ar-
kaana kul-li shay
the foundations of all things,
And by Your Knowledge, which Wa beil-mikal-la-dee ahaata be-kul-li
encompasses all things,
shay
And by the Light of Your Face, through Wa be-noo-re waj-hikal-la-dee adhaa-a
lahu kul-lu shay
which all things are enlightened!
O, Light! O, All-holy! Yaa nuru, yaa qod-duus!
O, First, before everything! Yaa aw-walal aw-waleen!
And the, Last, after everything! Wa yaa aa-khiral aa-khireen!
O, Allah, forgive me those sins, which Al-lahum-magh-fir liyad-dunubal-latee
tah-tikul esam
tear apart safeguards!

O, Allah, forgive me those sins, which Al-lahum-magh-fir liyad-dunubal-latee
tunzilon-niqam
bring the adversities!
O, Allah, forgive me those sins, which Al-lahum-magh-fir liyad-dunubal-latee tu-
ghay yiron-neam
alter blessings!
O, Allah, forgive me those sins, which Al-lahum-magh-fir liyad-dunubal-latee
hold back supplication!
tah-bisod-do-aa!
O, Allah, forgive me those sins, which Al-lahum-magh-fir liyad-dunubal-latee
taq-ta-ur-rajaa,
cut down the hopes!
O, Allah, forgive me those sins, which Al-lahum-magh-fir liyad-dunubal-latee
tunzilol-balaa,
bring miseries!
O, Allah, forgive me every sin I have Al-lahum-magh-fir lee kul-la dam-bin ad-
nab-toh, wa kol-la khati-atin akh-ta-tuha,
committed, and every mistake I
have made.
O, Allah, verily I seek nearness to You, Al-lahum-ma in-nee ataqar-rabu elayka
be-dik-rik,
through remembrance of You,
And I seek intercession with You, with Wa as-tash-feo beka elaa naf-sik.
Yourself,

And I ask You, through Your Kindness,
to bring me near to Yourself,
Wa as-aluka be-judeka an tod-niyanee
min qor-bik .
And to provide me with gratitude
Wa an tuzianee shok-rak.
toward You,
And to inspire me with Your
remembrance.
Wa an tol-himanee dik-rak.
O, Allah, verily I ask You, with the Al-lahum-ma in-nee as-aluka suala
asking of a submissive, abased and khaa-dhi-im mutadhal lilin khaa-shi an
lowly man, to be patient with me, and to tusa-mihanee wa tar-hamanee.
have Mercy on me.
And to make me satisfied and content
with your Plans for my life,.
Wa taj-alanee be-qis-mika raadiyan
qaanian; Wa fee jameiel ahwaali
mutawadhi-aa.
And to make me humble in every state
that I am,
O, Allah, I beg You, as a person, Al-lahum-ma wa as-aluka su-aala
whose poverty is extreme, manish-tad-dat faa- qatoh.
And who has stated to You, in Wa anzala beka indash-shadaa-edi
difficulties, his need, haajatah
And whose desire for what is with You, Wa a-dhuma feema indaka ragh-ba-toh
has become great.
O, Allah, Your Kingdom is Great, Al-lahum-ma a-dhuma sol-taanuka wa
andYour Place is very high! alaa makaa-nok,
And Your Plans are hidden, Your
Commands are manifest,
Wa khafiya mak-ruka, wa dha-hara am-
rok,

And Your Domination is overwhelming;
Your Power is unlimitted,
Wa ghalaba qah-ruka, wa ja-rat qod-
ratok
And escape from Your Dominance is Wa-laa yom-kinul-firaa-ro min huku-
impossible. matik
O, Allah, I find no forgiver of my sins, Al-lahum-ma laa-ajido le-dhunu-bee
ghaafira,
Nor concealer of my wrong deeds, Wa-laa le-qaba-ehee saatira,
O, Allah! O, my Protector! Al-lahum-ma maw-lai
And not to disgrace me, through the Wa-laa taf-dhah-ni be-khafi-yi mat-tala-
hidden things, You know of my secrets, ta alayhi min sir-ree,

And not to hasten me, to punishment, for Wa-laa to-aajil-nee bil-oqu-ba-teala
what I have done in private maa amil-tuhu fee khaala-watee,
My evil acts in secrecy, and my Min suo-e fe-lee wa esaa-atee,
misdeeds
And my continuous negligence, and my Wa dawaa-me taf-riti wa jahaa-latee,
ignorance,
And my manifold desires, and my
forgetfulness.
Wa kath-rati sha-hawaa-tee wa ghaf-
latee,
And by Your Greatness, O, Allah, be Wa kunil-laa-hum-ma be-iz-zatika lee, fi
kind to me, in all states kol-lil ah-waali ra-oufa,
And be gracious to me, in all things! Wa alay-ya fi jamei-el-omuri atufa;
My God and my Lord! Have I any, but Elaa-hee wa rab-bee, mal-li ghayruka
You, from whom to as-aluhu kash-fa dhur-ri, wan-na-dhara
ask removal of my afflictions and regard
for my affairs!
fi am-ree,

My God and my Protector! You put into Elaa-hee wa Maw-laay! Aj-rayta alay-ya
effect, through me, a decree, in which, hok-manit- taba-tu fihi hawa naf-see,
I followed the caprices, of my soul
And [I] did not remain wary of my
enemy's temptations
Wa lam ah-taris fihi min taz-yi-ne aduw-
wi
So, he (Satan) deluded me through my Faghar-ra-nee be-maa ah-waa, wa as-
souls caprices and therein, the destiny adahu ala daa-likal qa-dha

favored him!
So, in what was put into effect through Fa-taja-wazto be-ma jara alay-ya min
me in that situation, daa-lika ba-dha hududik
I transgressed some of Your rules,
And disobeyed some of Your
commands.
Wa khaalaf-to ba-dha awaa-mirik.
So, Thine is the argument against me in Falakal-hamdo alay-ya fi jamie daa-lik,
all of that,
And I have no argument in what Your
destiny, put into effect, through me
Wa-laa hoj-jata li fima jara alay-ya fihi
qadhaa-ok,
therein,
Nor in what Your decree and Your Grand Wa alza-mani hok-muka wa balaa-ok,
Plan imposed upon me.
Now, I have come to You, My Lord! after Wa qad atay-toka yaa elaa-hee bada
my shortcomings, and my excesses taq-siri wa esraa-fi alaa nafsee
toward myself,
I find no place to flee from what occurred Laa ajido mafar-ram mim-ma kaa-na
through me, min-ni,

Nor any place of escape to which I may
turn in my sad situation,
Wa-la mafzaan atawaj-jaho ilayhi fi
amree,
Other than Your acceptance of my Ghayra qabulika odhri, wa id-khalika iy-
excuse, and Your entering me into the yaya fi saatim mir-rah-matik,
protection of Your Mercy.
Bestow upon me for the sake of Your Hab-ni lib-tidaa-e karamika wa saalifi
having given rise (to me) with generosity bir-rika bee.
and your previous goodnesses to me.
O, Allah, my Master and my Lord! Yaa ilaa-hee wa say-yidi wa rab-bee,
Will You still torment me with Your fire, Atu-raaka muad-dibi binarika bada taw-
even after I have professed Your hidik.
Uniqueness!

And after the Knowledge of You, my
heart has embraced,
Wa bada man tawa alayhi qalbi mim
marifatik,
And the remembrance of You, my
tongue has constantly confessed!
Wa lahija behi lesaa-ni min dik-rik,
And the love of You, to which my mind Wa a- taqadahu dhamiri min hob-bik,
has clung,
And after the sincerity of my
confessions, and my Supplications,
Wa bada sid-qi-ti-raa-fi wa doaa-ee
khaa-dhi-al-li robubiy-yatik,
humbly before Your Lordship?
Far be it from You! You are more Hay-haat! Anta ak-ramu min an to-dhay-
Generous than that You should yi-a mar-rab-baytah
squander him, whom You have nurtured,
Or banish him, whom You have brought Au toba-eda man adnaytah,
near,
Or drive away him, whom You have Au toshar-rida man aa-wai-tah,
given refuge!
Or throw into miseries, him whom You Au tosal-lima ilal balaa-e man kafay-
have spared and shown Mercy? tahu wa rahim-tah,
I wish I knew, my Master, my God and
my Protector!
Wa layta she-ri yaa say-yidi wa ilahi wa
mau-lai,

Whether You will give the fire dominion Atusal-liton-naara ala wojuhin khar-rat
over faces fallen down prostate before le adha-matika saajidah,
Your Greatness?!
And over tongues, voicing sincerely the Wa ala al-sonin nataqat be-tauhi-deka
profession of Your uniqueness, and saa-diqataw-wa beshokrika maadihah,
giving thanks to You in praise?!
And over hearts, acknowledging Your Wa ala qolubin etarafat be ilaa hiy-
Divinity, with all sincerity?! yatika mohaq-qiqah,
And over minds, encompassing Wa ala damaa-ira hawat minal ilmi
Knowledge of You, till they have become beka hat-ta saa-rat khaashiah,
humble?!
And over bodily members, speeding to Wa ala jawariha saat ila au-taa-ne
the places of Your worship, in obedience wa ta-ab-bodika taa-ia-atan
and beckoning, for Your forgiveness, in ashaarat bis-tigh faa-rika modh-inah,
submission?!
No such opinion is held of You! Nor has Ma haa-ka-dad-dhan-no beka
such been, reported, thanks to your wa-laa okh-bir-naa be Fadhlika
kindness, about you! anka,
O, All-generous! My Lord, Yaa Karimo yaa Rabb!
And You know my weaknesses, even in Wa anta talamu dafee an qalilim min
little problems, and troubles of this world, balaa-id donya wa oqu-baatiha,

And facing those ordeals, which befall its Wa ma yajri fiha minal-makaarihi ala
inhabitants, ahliha,
Even though it is a trouble and ordeal Ala an-na daa-lika balaa-ow wa mak-ru-
whose stay is short, whose subsistence hon. Qalilom-mak-thohu, yasirom
is but little, and whose period is but baqaa-ohu, qasi-rom mod-datoh,
temporary;
So, how can I endure the punishments of Fa-kayfah-timaa-li le-balaa-il Aa-khira-ti
the next World and the great ordeals that wa jalili woqu-il makaa-rihi fiha,
!
occurs within it?
For, it is a punishment whose period is Wa huwa balaa-on tatulo mod-datuhu,
long, its effects endure, and whose wa yadumo maqamuhu, wa-la yo-khaf-
sufferers are given no respite fafu an ah-lih
Since it only occurs as a result of Your Le-an-nahu laa yakuno il-la an gha-
wrath, your Vengeance and Your Anger, dhabik, wan tiqamika wa sakhatik,
And these cannot be withstood, even by
the Heavens and the Earth,
Wa haa-daa ma la taqumo lahus-
samawato wal-ardo,
O, Master, so what about me?! Yaa say-yidi! Fakayfa liy...

For, I am Your weak, lowly, base, Wa ana ab-do kad-dha-ee fod-dalilol
wretched and miserable servant. haqirol mis-kinol mos-takin,
My God! My Lord! My Master! My
Protector!
Yaa ilahi wa rab-bee wa say-yidi wa
mau-lai,
For which miseries would I complain to Le ay-yil omuri elayka ash-ku?
You?
And for which of them would I lament Wa lima minha adhij-ju wa ab-ki.
and weep?
For the pain and the severity of the
punishment?
Le-alimil adaa-be wa shid-datih?
!
!
Or for the length and the period of the Am litu-lil balaa-iy wa mod-datih
hardship?
So, if You take me to the punishments Fa-la-in say-yar-tani lil-oqubaa-ti ma-
with Your enemies, a, a'daa-ik
And gather me with the people of Your Wa jamata bayni wa bayna ahli
tribulation balaa-ik
And separate me from your friends and Wa far-raqta bay-ni wa bay-na ahib-
saints, baa-ika wa au-li-ya-ik
Then suppose, My God, My Master, My
Protector and My Lord, that I am able to
Fa hab-ni ya ilahee wa say-yidi wa
mawlaaya wa rab-bee, Sabartu ala
endure Your punishments, adaa-bik
How could I endure this separation from Fakayfa asbiru ala firaqik ?!
You?

And suppose I could endure the heat of
Your Fire,
Wa hab-ni sabar-tu 'ala har-ri naarik,
How could I endure not gazing upon
Your Generosity?
Fakayfa as-biru anin-nadhari ila
karaamatik?
Or how could I dwell in the fire, while my
hope is Your Pardon?
Am kayfa askunu fin-naa-re, wa raja-
iy af-wok?
So, by Your Might, My Master and My Fabi-iz zatika ya say-yidi wa maw-
Protector!I swear sincerely, if You leave laay,Oqsimu saa-diqal-la-in taral-tani
me with speech, that: naa-tiqa,
I will lament to You, from the midst of the La adhiz jan-na ilayka bayna ah-liha
fires inhabitants with lamentation of the zajijal aamilin
hopeful;
And I will cry to You, with the cry of Wa la-asru-khan-na ilayka soraa-khal
those crying for help; mos-tas- rikhin
And I will weep like the weeping of the Wa la-ab-kiyan-na alayka bo-kaa-al
bereft; faaqidin
And I will call You, where are You, O Wa la-ona diyan-naka ay-na kon-ta
Lord of the Believers, yaa waliy-yal mo-minin
O Goal of the hopes of your lovers! Yaa ghaayata aa-maalil Aa-rifiin!

O Help of those who seek help! Yaa ghiyaa-thal mos-taghi-thin
O Friend of the hearts of the sincere Yaa habiba qolubis-saadiqin
people,
And O God of all the worlds inhabitants! Wa yaa ilaa-hal aalamin
Imprisoned there, because of his many
violations
Sojina fiha be-mokha lafatih
Tasting the flavor of its torment, because
of his disobedience
Wa dhaa-qa tama adhaa biha be-
masi yatih
And confined within its levels, because of
his sins and crimes
Wa hobisa bayna at-baa-qiha bijor
mihi wa jariratih
While, he laments to You, with the
lament of one hopeful of Your Mercy!
Wa huwa yadhij-ju ilayka dhajija
muam-milil-lirah matik
And calls to You, with the tongue of Wa yonaa-deeka be-lisaa-ni ahli-
those who profess Your tawhidik
Uniqueness!
And entreats You, by Your Lordship! Wa yatawas-salu ilayka be robu biy-
yatik
My Protector! So, how should he remain
in punishment, while he has hope of
Yaa mawlaay! Fa-kayfa yabqaa fil
adaab, wa huwa yar-ju ma

Your previous clemency? salafa min hilmik?
Or how should the fire cause him pain, Am kayfa tu-limuhun-naru wa huwa ya-
while he expects Your Grace and malu fadhlaka wa rah-mataka
Mercy?
Or how should its flames burn him, while Am kayfa yoh-riquhu lahibuha wa
you hear his voice, and see his place? anta tas-ma-o sau-tahu, wa tara
makaa-nah
Or how should its flames surround him, Am kayfa yash-tamilu alayhi zafiruha
while You know his weakness? wa anta talamu dhafah
Or how should he be convulsed among Am kayfa yataqal-qalu bayna at-baa-
its levels, while you know his sincerity? qiha, wa anta talamu sid-qah?
Or how should its keepers torture him,
while he calls out to You: O My Lord!
Am kayfa taz-juruhu zabaa-niy-
rab- yatuha wa huwa yunadika yaa
bah?
Or how should he have hope of Your
bounty in freeing him from it, while You
Am kayfa yar-ju fadh-laka fi it-qihi
minha, fatat rukuhu fiha?
abandon him within it?
Far be it from You! That is not what is Hay-haat! Maa daa-likad dhan-no-bik!
expected of You,
Nor what is well-known of Your Grace Wa-lal marufo min fadhlik

Nor it is similar to the goodness and Wa-laa mosh-bihol lima aamal-ta
kindness You have shown to those who bihil muwah-hidi-na mim bir-rika -
profess your Uniqueness, wa ih-saa-nik
And what You have already decided Wa qa-dhayta bihi min ikh-laadi mu-
regarding the everlasting punishment of aa-nidik
Your enemies,
You would, turn the fire, all of it, into
coolness and safety,
Laja'l-tan-nara kul-laha bar-daw-wa
salama
And no one would have a place or abode Wa ma kana li-ahadin feeha maqar-raw-
within it. wa-la muqama
But, You--Holy be Your Names--have Laa-kin-naka taqad-dasat as-mauka aq
sworn that: You will fill it with the sam-ta an tam-la-ahaa minal kaa-firin
unbelievers,
Both jinn and men together, Minal jin-nati wan-naasi aj-main
And that You will place those who Wa-an tukhal-lida fihal mu-aa-nidin
stubbornly resist, therein, forever.
And You--Majesty is Your Eulogy--said
at the beginning, and You were Gracious
Wa anta jal-la thana-uka qol-ta mob-
tadi-an, wa tataw-wal-ta bil-in-aa-mi
:
through kindness, as a favor, : motakar-rima
What?! Is he who has been a believer, Afaman kaa-na mo-minan kaman kaa- "
like unto him who has been un-Godly? na faa-siqal-la yas-tawun
They are not equals!(H.Q. 32:18)

My God and My Master! So, I ask You,
by the power You have apportioned
Elaa-hi wa say-yidi fa-as-aluka bil
qod-ratil-latee qad-dartaha
And by the decision which You have
determined and imposed and through
Wa bil-qadhi-yatil la-tee hatam-taha
ghalabta man wa hakam-taha, wa
which You have overcome him toward alayhi ajray-taha
whom it has been put into effect,
And every evil act, which You have Wa kol-la say-yi-atin amar-ta be-ith
commanded the noble writers (Angels) to batihal kiramal-kaa-tibin
record,

Those whom You have appointed to
watch over what I do,
Al-la-deena wak-kal tahum be-hif-dhi
ma yakunu min-ni
And whom You have made, along with
my body parts, witnesses against me.
Wa ja-al tahum shohudan alay-ya ma-a
jawa-rihi
And You were Yourself the watcher over
me, aside from them,
Wa konta antar-raqiba alay-ya miw-
waraa-ihim
And the Witness of what was hidden
from them ,
Wash-shaa-hida lima khafiya an-hom
But, through Your Mercy, You concealed Wa be-rahmatika akh-faytah
it.
And through Your Grace, You veiled it. Wa be fadhlika satar-tah
Or sins that You forgive, Au dam-bin tagh- firoh

Or errors that You cover. Au khata-in tas-toroh
My Lord! My Lord! My Lord! Yaa Ra-be! Yaa Ra-be! Yaa Rabb!
My God! My Master! My Protector! Yaa Elaa-hee wa say-yidi wa maw-
Owner of My bondage! laa-ya wa maa-lika riq-qi
O He, in whose Hands is my Destiny! Yaa mam biyadihi naa-siyati
O He who knows my afflictions and my Yaa alimam be-dhor-ri wa mas-kanati
misery!
O He who is aware of my poverty and
needs!
Yaa khabiram be-faq-ri wa faaqati
My Lord! My Lord! My Lord! Yaa Ra-be! Yaa Ra-be! Yaa Rabb!
I, ask You by Your Truth and Your As-aluka be-haq-qika wa qod-sik
Holiness
And the greatest of Your Attributes and Wa a-dha-me sifaa-tika wa as-maa-ik
Names,
That You make my times in the night and
in the day, always occupied with Your
An taj-ala au-qaa-ti fil-layli wan-
nahaari, be-dik-rika mamurah
Remembrance,
And all connected to Your Service, Wa be-khid-matika maw-sulah
And continuity in my being joined to Your Wad-dawaama fil-itisaa-li bikhid-matik
service
So that I may march forward toward You, Hat-ta as-raha ilayka fi maya-dinis saa-
among the first. beqiin
And hurry to You, among the prominent. Wa osri-a ilayka fil muba-diriin
And desire fervently Your proximity Wa ash-taa-qa ila qorbika fil mosh-
among the fervently desirous (of You!). taaqin
And move nearer to You, with the Wa ad-nua minka donu-wal mokh-lisin
nearness of the sincere ones.

And fear You, like the fear of those who Wa akhaa-faka makhaa-fatal muqinin
have Faith,
And gather with the believers, in Your Wa aj-tamia fi jiwaa-rika ma-al mo-
Presence! minin
O Allah, whoever wishes evil for me, Al-lahum-ma wa man araa-dani be-
wish[it] for him! su-in fa-arid-ho
Whoever deceives me, deceive him! Wa man kaa-dani fa-kid-ho
And make me one of the best of Your Waj alni min ahsani abidika nasiban
servants, in relation to You, indak
And the nearest of them, in position to Wa aq-rabihim manzilatam mink
You
And the closest of them, in proximity to Wa akhas-sihim zul-fatal-ladayk
You.
For, that cannot be attained except by Fa-in nahu laa yuna-lu daa-lika il-la
Your Blessing. be-fadh-lik
And grant generously to me, through Wa jod lee be-judik
Your Own Generosity,
And incline toward me, with Your Wa-tif alay-ya be-maj-dik
Splendor
And protect me, with Your Mercy! Wah-fadh-ni be-rah-matik
And make my tongue Praise You without Waj al-lisaani be-dik-rika lahija
ceasing,
And fill my heart with Your Love! Wa qalbi be-hob-bika motay-yama

And be Gracious to me, by answering Wa mon-na alay-ya be-hus-ni ejaa-batik
me favorably,
And nullify my slips! Wa aqil-ni ath-rati
And Forgive my lapses!! Wagh-fir zal-lati
For, You have decreed Your worship for Fa in-naka qa-dhayta alaa iybaa-dika
Your servants, be- iybaadatik
And commanded them to supplicate Wa amar tahom be-doaa-ik,
You,
And You have guaranteed that they Wa dhaminta lahumul iy-jaa-bah
would be granted!
So, toward You, My Lord, I have turned Fa ilayka yaa rab-be nasabtu wajhi
my face,
And toward You, My Lord, I have
extended my hands!
Wa ilayka ya rab-be madad-tu yadiy
So, by Your Might, grant me this Fa-be-iz-zatikas tajib lee doaa-iy
supplication,
And help me attain my request! Wa bal-lighni mo-naay
Do not sever my hope, for Your favors. Wa-laa taq-ta min fadh-lika rajaa-iy

And grant them The Abundant Bliss! Wa sal-lama tas-liman kathiira!
