plane Company for photographs of Airplanes. Boeing recontly
received similar request from F. B. NE\JMAN, srune address.
Investigation disclosed DORR 14 years of age. Father em-
ployed for 24 years GPO, Washington, D. No information
developed regarding NEWJJ.IAN.

This investigation was pre information

furnished on January 8, 19.54 by Ma or Security b6 per DOD
Research Branch, Office of the Seer y of Defense, Office
of Public Information, Pentagon. telephonically advised
that tho Booing Airplane Company, Wic ta, Kansas, had sent
his office some materials in 'Which he FBI would
be interested. These materials, according to L_J contained
informntion that a F. DORR, 2.502 Gaither Street, s . E.,
Washington, D. c., had frequently written to the Boeing Air-
plane Company requesting photographs of and for
informati.o n about refueling planes. Further that recently
the Boeing Airplane Company had received a letter from a
F. B. NEWI".IAN, who used the same address as DORR; mentioned

plane Company had turned their request down.

Pentagon, was personally contacted by the writer, at
he turned over the following letters:

Major D also pref:lented a memorandum from the h6 per DOD
Boeing Airplane Company, dated October 31, 1953, from the
Wichita, Kansao Office to their Seattle Office, which contained
information that indicated that they considered the letter from
NEWHAN to be somewhat different from previous requests for
photogrtaphs, inasmuch previous requests have l:>oen for more
modern or late developments. This letter also
indicated that the Boeing Airplane Company had refused DORR
his last two requests f'or photographs.
On January 13, 1954, Confidential Informant T-1,
of known reliability, advised the writer that F. DORR,
2502 Gaither Street, s. E., Washington, D. C., believed to
be identical with one of the subjects, was the 14 year old son
of LAWRENCE G. DORR. :f t : same address Further, that

T-1 further cdvised G. DOR had been employed b?c
for 24 years at the Government Printing Of'fice, Washington,
D. c.
The files of the Oredit Bureau, Washington, D. c.,
as reviewed by SE JAMBS A.. ROBERTS on January 19, 1954, revealed
that LAWRENCE G. DORR, born 1911, had been employed at the GPO,
Washington, D. c., as a compositor since October 1, 1929. His
wife, BLANCHE BOISVERT DORR, was formerly employed at the GPO as
as proof' reader from October l921 to 1938. The credit rocord
indicated that LAURENCE DORR had a so.tisfactory credit rating.
A .search of the Hnshington, D. c. Telephone
Directory for 1953, in refe1"ence to F. B. NEWHAU was made with
negative results.

SAMUELS. STOKES, Security Officer, Flight Refueling Inc.,

Friendship International Airport, Baltimore, Maryland, advised
that the company has received several letters from the subject
under the name and aliases listed above. These letters requested
photographs of Flight Refueling equipment and other types of
information concerning airplanes. According to Mr. STOKES,
the subject listed the same address on each letter that he has
written to the company since 6/26/53.
Continuing, Mr. STOKES stated that most of the information
desired by the subject was not of classified material, but he
did point out that Flight Refueling has some contracts that are
classified and one that is secret. These contracts are with
the Air Force.
Mr. STOKES pointed out that the company had moved from New Haven,
Connecticut sometime around the first part of this year, and that
several letters written by the subject were copied and the
information was forwarded to the New Haven Office by letter dated
10/20/53. Copies of all letters were .furnished to the New Haven
Office with the exception of one signed by ROBERT F. DORR and
dated 7/15/54. A copy of this letter is being forwarded to the
Washington Field Office since subject has listed his address as
2502 Gaither Street, SE, 21, D.C.
The information contained in this letter is being forwarded to
WFO to be added to that which was furnished to the New Haven
Office by Flight Refueling.
