User ID

Settings differ between different types of Printer Drivers.

Settings User IDs differ between various types of Printer


Drivers.

User IDs can be set from 1 to 8 digits (alphanumeric)


User ID are to be set for each Printer Driver for to identify
each Users job easily.

Also, there are no security for User IDs.

SmartNetMonitor will ONLY work on the Printer


Languages described above. It will NOT work on PS
(PostScript) Drivers since they are not supported.
Recovery Printing

Print results may change due to options

As SmartNetMonitor transfers jobs to other Printers


(in case of Recovery Printing), eventually the Printed results
may differ from what you have expected with the
designated Printer.

In case of Recovery Printing from MFP to LP.
Recovery Printing

Options has to be same as possible

Regarding of the previous information abut the results,


it is recommended that options and Driver settings
should be the same as possible when using Recovery
& Parallel Printing through SmartNetMonitor.

Otherwise, the results might eventually change from


what it suppose to be.

Especially, for Parallel Printing, " Printers must


configured identically (NICs, Print Controller and
Finishing Options) and be the same model machines
in order for Parallel Printing to work correctly"
Remote access

(How to modify User Properties)


1.Double click any User Code users
wishes to modify.
2.Modify the items.
3.Click OK.

Users can change access privileges by clicking or not


clicking the boxes, which shows the functions.

Unchecked (default):
No permission to use the function.
Checked
Allows access to a User.
Grayed Out
No access restriction (Functions which were
not checked when restricting the entire
function access.)

(1) In case of entire access, the device requires what


function to be restricted; therefore, boxes have to be
clicked if restriction is wanted.
(2) In case of individual access, the device requires what
function not to be restricted; therefore, boxes have to be
clicked if wanting to access free to the function.
(3) The icon means, Gray out.
