doctorsoffamilymedicineaswellasmyownexperience.ThesetopicshavebeendiscussedintheHochschulwochenfuer
Psychiatrie[psychiatryweek]heldattheMedicalSectionoftheGoetheanum.

Silver

Throughitsconnectionwiththereproductiveorgans,silverpointstothebeginningofhumanlife,totheembryo.Besides
therelationshiptotheSelfwhichallmetalshaveincommonweseethatsilverhasastrongrelationtothelifebuilding
etherbodywhichisnotonlyactiveintheprocessesofmentalandphysicalillnessesbutalsointheirhealing.Silveris
thereforeoftenusedatthebeginningofpsychotherapy.Itwillbeeasierforapatienttofindcontactwiththetherapistand
theclinicifhereceivessilvermedication.Throughthesilverprocessthepatientwillreenterhisbodyagainashehad
initiallyinthebeginningofhislife.Silverbringsaboutaneasierflowofconversation,becausethroughit,memoriesare
freedfromtheunconsciousandalsostimulatesthefantasy.Cautionisneededherewithhystericalpatients!

Thesilverpreparationdyscrasiteisrecommendedinthiscase.

Silveralsoleadsthepatientbacktothebeginningofhisillness,creatinganewsituationfromwhichtostart
therapy.Iftheillnessdevelopedinchildhoodorhaditsrootsthere,onehastothinkespeciallyofsilvermedication.

Thisalsoappliestocompulsiveneurosiswhichcanoriginateinchildhood,andforschizophrenicpsychosis,withits
preconditioninchildhoodoradolescence,andtotheanorexianervosa,acondition,inwhichthepatientdoesnotwantto
growup,butratherwantstoremainachild.

Asilvertherapyisindicatedwhendealingwithshock.Inexperiencingashockapatientsastralbodygets
shockedoutofhisbody,especiallyoutoftheregionofthereproductiveorgans.Spasticconditionsinthestomachand
intestinaltractpointtowardadisplacedastralbody.Disturbancesinsexualfunctionsindicateamalfunctionitself
organicallyinsexualneurosiswithdisturbanceofsexualfunctions.Silverwillhelptheastralbodytoincorporateitselfinto
thereproductivesystem.

Indications:Silver

Initialmedicationinsupportofpsychotherapy.Assistingpsychiatrictreatmentinallmentaldisturbances,which
havetheirorigininearlychildhood.Silverisalsothemainmedicationinthetreatmentoftheaftereffectsofshock,of
hysteriaandsexualneurosis.

Eachmetalhasaregulating,equalizingeffectandrevealstherebyitsrelationshiptotheI,whichhastomaintainan
equilibriuminthewholeorgansystem.

Preparations:

ArgentumPraep.istheforemostpreparationtorestoresuchabalance.

Argentite,throughitssulfurcomponent,isrelatedtothemetabolicpoleofthebodyandhasthereforearelaxing
andhealingeffect.Argentiteisespeciallyindicatedfortreatmentofahardenedorganismandhardenedpsychological
processes.Argentiteisexcellentasaninitialmedicationincompulsiveneurosis.Cautionisneededwithredheadsor
patientswithblondhair,whohaveasulfurrichconstitution.

Dyscrasite:Theantimonycombinationofsilverisparticularlyusefulasaninitialmedicationinhysterical
patients.Dyscrasitehastheeffectofrestructuringtheoverflowingbodyandsoulforcesofapatienthelpingtore
establishanormalrelationshipofthosesexualforceswhichhaveinvadedthesoullife.

Potency:Mostlylow(D6)becausetheeffectisdirectedtowardsthemetabolicsystem.Giveperoralorasinjection(subc.)

Bryophyllum:Thissprouting,upwellinghysteriaplantwhichR.Steinerintroducedtotreathysteriacanwellbe
combinedwithsilver.Lowpotency(50%)peros,D2,D3asinjectionsinthinpatients,higherpotency(D5D10)withobese
patients.BryophyllumArgentocultumD2,D3canbegiveninmildcasesandatthestartofasilvertherapy.

Copper

Copperrevealsaprimalrelationshiptothewholekidneysystem.Theastralbodywhichlivesintheairorganism
andcreatestheemotionallifeisalsoactiveintheincretion(collection)andexcretionofurine,therebydominatingthe
kidneysystem.Witheachexcitement,witheachtempestinthesoul,theastralbodyliftsslightlyoutofthekidney
system.Lefttoitself,theastralbodytendstosuccumbtoitsinbornpolarity,pleasureanddispleasuregrippingitwith
elementalforce.Influencesfromtheworldoutsidestimulatetheastralbodytoexcitementhavingpleasureordispleasureor
leadingtoapathyandboredom.

Thesechangesweakentheequilibriumofthefeelinglife,theemotionalcenteroftheSelf.Wefindthecoolingand
grayingofemotionsasanearlysymptomofapsychosis.Itpointstoagraduallossofthepatientsfeelingcenter.In
casesofpathologicalboredom,e.g.thesocalledvacuumneurosis,themainproblemisthisdysfunctionofthe
emotions.Coppercounteractsthepolarizationoftheastralbodyandencouragesthedevelopmentofwarmerfeelings
connectedwiththeSelf.

Indications:

Therestless,excitableorapathic,neuroticpatientandschizoidpsychopath.Theneuroticandschizophrenicpatient
whoexhibitsanemotionaldeficitandhasgreatdifficultiestogetintocontactwithotherpeople.Prophylacticfor
restlessnessandexcitatorystatesaswellasforneuroticpatientswithperiodsofapathy.

Preparations:

Cuprumpraep.inmed.potency(mostlyD6).Correspondingtoargentite:Chalkosin,isthesulfurcombinationof
copper.Thismedicationisespeciallyindicatedwhentheoverflowingexcitementiscombinedwithbodilydissimilation,as
canbeobservedinthyreotoxicconditions.PeroralD3,asaninjectionD6togetherwithBryophyllumD2orD3.

CuproStibium:Thismedicationwithantimony[Stibium]helpstheformingforcesinsituationswithdisruptionsof
thefeelinglife.

CuprumRenD4,D6:Thispreparationwithrenespeciallyaimedatthekidneysystem.Thecoppercomponentin
thispreparationstimulatestheenliveningprocessandraisesthesensitivity.

ChamomillaCuprocultaD2,D3:isindicatedincaseswithsymptomsshowingtoostrongakidneyradiation
combinedwithsymptomsofemotionaldisturbancesuggestiveofacoppersymptomatology(cramps,hypertonia,etc.).

MelissaCuprocultaD2,D3:shouldbegivenincaseswherethekidneyradiationistooweakwithhypotonia,cold
sensationsandvenouscongestion.

NicotianaCuprocultaD2,D3:isindicatedwhenspasmsoccurunderconditionsinwhichthekidneyradiationistoo
weak.

Mercury

Mercuryhasaprimaryrelationshiptotherespiratoryorgan,thelung.Inthelungtheastralbodyisactiveininspirationand
expirationandislessboundtotheorganthaninthekidney.Theenvironmentpenetratesthroughtheairdirectlyintothe
humanorganism.Thesoullifewhichunfoldsinconnectionwiththelungcorrespondswiththeintimaterelationshiptothe
environment.Pleasureanddisgustdevelophereintothemoredifferentiatedfeelingsofsympathyandantipathy,through
whichtheastralbodyopensuptotheworldorwithdrawsfromtheworld.Thewithdrawalofthesensitivesoulfromthe
worldmayintensifyanddevelopintocompulsatorydisease.Thesoulfeelsitselfdrivenintoacorner,remainsfullof
anxietyandisunabletoshedtheoverpoweringimpressionsoftheworld.Loveoftheworldcanleadtohysteria,during
whichtheastralbodyattemptstorealizethoseillusionaryconceptswhicharerelatedtoinfluencesofthelung.

Mercuryexhibitsthedescribedsymptomsanddisturbancesofthesoulinhomeopathicprovings.Ithastheeffect
ofbalancingtherespirationofthesoulwhichovershootsfromoneortheotherside.Inthisway,mercurymedication
helpstoproduceacontacttotheworldandtothepsychotherapist,whichismoredominatedbytheSelf.

Indications:

Alabilepatientwithinclinationtochangesinmoodalternatingbetweenantipathyandsympathy.Asintermediate
andbasicremedyinthetreatmentofhysteriaandcompulsivediseases.

Duringdisturbancesofcontactwhileunderpsychotherapy.

Preparations:

Mercur.viv.nat.,themetallicmercurypreparationasinjectioninmed.potency(D10,D15),peroslowerpot.For
supportofpsychotherapythevegetabilizedmetalBryophyllumMercuriocultumD2,D3isrecommended.

Antimony(Stibium)

Thishalfmetalbringstogetherinitselftheeffectsofthethreeplanets:moon,venusandmercury(havingtheirpathsbelow
thesun)andthecorrespondingeffectsofthethreemetals:silver,copper,andmercury.Processesofdissociationoccurin
patientssuchasschizoidneuroticsandschizophrenicsresultinginalossofstructureofthesoullife.Itispossiblethat
dissolutionordissimilationoforganproteincouldbetheunderlyingcauseofthedescribedchangesinthese
patients.Antimonystimulatestheprocessofnewformationoforganprotein:throughitssilvercomponentinthe
reproductiveorgans,throughitscoppercomponent,thekidneys,throughthemercurycomponentthelungs.Antimony
essentiallypreventsanovershootingofdissolutionprocessesintheorgansandstimulatestheSelftonewformationof
protein.Observingtheeffectsofantimonymedicationonecanseeastructuringeffectgoingallthewayfromthephysical
bodyviatheetherbodytothesoullife.Notonlyaretheinnerdissociationprocessesinfluencedbeneficiallybutalsothe
splitbetweensoulandworldfoundinthesepatients.Thelatterisaccomplishedthroughmedicationwiththemercury
compoundofantimony.Thestructureinthesoullifeofthemanicdepressivepatientcanbenotedfollowingtheantimony

Indications:

Inadditiontotheregularschizophrenicpatients,theneuroticwithschizoidtrendsandthemanicpatient.

Preparations:

Dyscrasite(Antimonycombinationofsilver)hasalreadybeenmentionedatthebeginningoftherapy.

Stibiumpraep.D6D10incaseswheredissolutionprocessesareintheforeground,peroralorasinjectionandalso
intravenous510mlinschizophrenia.

AntimoniteD6D10,(Antimonysulphuratum)isbetterincasesshowingstrongerdissociationandsimultaneous
fixationasseenindepressivepatients.

Cuprostibiumisindicatedforthetreatmentofdisturbanceofsensitivityincasesofschizophreniaorpatientswith
schizoidcharactertendencies.

Helleborusniger(ChristmasRose)hasmajorrelationshipstobrainandkidney.Itisgivenasanaccompanyingplanttherapy
inthetreatmentofepisodesofexcitationanddepressionrelatedtosoullifeinfluencedbythekidney.PeroralD2,D6,inj.
D4D10.

Gold

Themetalinthecenterofthesevenmetalshasitsprimalrelationshiptotheorganinthecenterofthephysicalbody,the
heart,whichisalsothecentralorganforthewarmthorganism.Thesephenomenaindicatethattheheartisthecentral
organfortheEgo.Inthemovementsoftheheart,insystoleanddiastole,thepolartendenciesofthephysicalbodyandthe
soularemanifestedinamostconcentratedform.ThebalancebetweenthesystoleanddiastoleiscreatedbytheSelf
enteringintotheprocess.

Incontrasttothefeelinglifeofthelungs,whicheitheropensitselfuptotheworldorshutsitselfofffromthe
world,thefeelinglifeoftheheartismorecentralizedandradiatesintotheworld.Feelingsoriginatingfromtheheartare
filledwithresponsibilityandconscience.ThroughthevoiceofconsciencethehigherSelfisspeaking.Radiatingintolife
throughthehearttheSelfistransformingsympathyintoloveandantipathyintothepowerofcognition.Throughthis
process,sympathyandantipathybecometoolsoftheSelf.Disturbancesinthisprocessaffecttheheart,thecenterof
existenceoftheSelf.Negativememoriesofthedepressedpatientcanleadtoselfreproachwhichhavetheiroriginin
spastictendenciesintheinteractionofSelfandheart.Thisinturncanleadtosuicide.Iftheheartisseizedbyexcitation
risingtoragethepatientslifeandotherlivesarethreatened.Physicalsymptomsofheartdisturbancescanaccompanyor
replacepsychicsymptoms:feelingsofbeingoppressedatheartareoftenassociatedwithguiltandappearinplaceofthe
latter.Tachycardiacanappearpriortoanattackofrageorreplaceit.

Theneurosisoftheheartwhichissteadilyincreasinginourtimehastwocomponents,ofwhichoneortheothermaybe
emphasized.FrequentlyanEgoconflictcanbediscoveredinthelifeofthepatient.Somethinghehadinmindtodobut
wasunabletorealize,leadingtoanoppressionoftheheartinvolvingbothphysicalandsoulaspects.

SometimesaresponsibilityburdensapatientwhichhisSelfcannotsustain.Theexperienceofdeathorofheart
rendingdeparturecancauseaheartneurosiswhenitisnotworkedout.Conversationsbetweenthephysicianandthe
patientcanbecometherapeuticallyveryeffectiveiftheheartisreallyreachedandgoldmedicationisabletoprovide
support.ThroughthemedicationofgoldtheEgoiscalledupontofindagainthecenterofitsexistence.

Workingwithgoldasatherapymakesitveryclear,thatmedicationcanneverreplacethepatientsownefforts.Through
gold,stagesarebuiltforanewhealthierconnectionoftheEgowiththebodyandlife.However,theEgomustgothispath
alone.Insomecasesitbecomesevident,thatgoldtherapyisnotonlysupportiveofEgotherapybutquitefrequentlya
conditionfortheeffectiveuseofthelatter.TheEgomayhavesostronglyenteredtheheartorgancreatingspasmodic
episodesasinpatientswithanginapectorisoritmayhaveremoveditselffromtheheartorgantoofar,asinpatients
havingconvulsivetachycardiathatitcannotbereachedthroughthewordoftheEgotherapy.Inthiscase,itisthegold
medicationwhichhastopreparethewayfortheworld.

Whilesilverisveryusefulatthebeginningofpsychotherapy,goldisofgreatbenefittoendaperiodof
psychotherapy.Throughgold,theEgoiscalledupontotakethedevelopmentinitsownhandandtoenterintobodyandlife
inanewway,particularlywhennewpossibilitieshavebeenopenedupthroughprevioustherapies.

Indications:

Thedepressivepatientwithselfreproachandthoughtsofsuicide.Themanicpatientwithmegalomaniaand
tendenciestowardsexcitationandrage.TosupporttheSelfinexistentialcrises.Inneurosesoftheheart.Toendaphase
ofpsychotherapeutictreatment.

Potenciesareofparticularimportance.Lowpotencies(D6)incasesofagitationoftheheartincludingcasesofmaniaasa
preventivemeasurewhentheagitationleadstowardsafrenzy.

Higherpotencies(D12D20)areusedinspasmodicconditionsoftheheartinvolvingbothbodyandsoulandindepressive
statesassociatedwithqualmsofconscience.ThehigherpotenciesfacilitatethepenetrationofthebodybytheSelf.They
contributetoadissolutionofcrampswithoutresultinginpsychicloosening.

Preparations:

Aurumpraep.ismostfrequentlyused.Mercur.aurat.isrecommendedinthetreatmentofpatientswhohave
sufferedadepressivestateforalongerperiodoftimeandthediseasehasbecomestagnant(D15inj.).

Iron

Again,therelationtotheEgoisemphasizediniron,butitisnotsocentralasingold.IronaccompaniestheEgoinentering
thebodyandearthlyenvironment.Theforceofincarnationisstrengthenedbyirongoingintothebloodandenablinginner
respirationinthetissues.

Inthelungstheformationofthelungorganitselfisinfluencedbyironinconnectionwiththeblood.Throughtheiron
carryingbloodenteringthelungstheEgocandevelopsteadinessandactivityconfrontingtheimpressionsofthesoullifeof
thelungs.OutofthisactivityoftheEgoarisesthecourage,whichthecompulsiveneuroticpatienthaslost,whoisfullof
anxiety.Ironis,therefore,theessentialmetalforthetreatmentofcompulsivementaldiseases.(Followingtheinductionof
therapywithsilvermedicationandsubsequentintermediatetreatmentwithmercury).Irontherapyisalsoabletogive
hystericpatientsstrengthintheirsouls.Insupportofpsychotherapy,ironmedicationhelpstoovercomeinhibitionsand
fearsofpatientstowardanEgoTherapy.

Preparations:

CinisUrticaFerrocultaperosD3,asinjectionD6inpatientswithcompulsatoryneuroses.CombinationwithFerrum
sidereumD6D10asinjection.Meteoriciron,whichistakenbythelungsduringinspirationhasaspecialrelationshiptothe
lungs.

KatopriteD6asinj.orperos.Thiscombinationofironandantimoniumisparticularlyindicatedincasesof
hysteria.InbothdiseasesadditionalmedicationwithPyriteD6orPyriteD8asinj.isrecommended.Asaccompanyingplant
remedyVaucheriaD3trit.,D6inj.

Ironradiates,however,intoallorgans.Inthekidneyironactsinconditions,inwhichthekidneyradiationistooweak,e.g.
hypotoniaandatlowlevelsofenergy(notweaknessofwill).Outstandingsymptomsareresignationandapathy.Ifan
excitationoccursatall,itisofsecondarynature.Inj.ofSolutioFerricomp./Glandulasuprarenalis.

Inneuroticpatientswhoareweakinwillpowerandarefearfulofaction,patientswhoknoweverythingbutare
unabletodoanything,ironmedicationwillstimulatethewill.Ironmedicationiscentralinthetreatmentofdepression
associatedwithaparalysisofwill.

Prep.Ferrum/Acid.chol.D4andD6perosorasinj.togetherwithOxalisD4.Throughthiscombinationwithbile
acid,whichinitselfhasarelationtothewillprocess,ironcanbedirectedtothebileprocess.

InScorodite,ironiscombinedwitharsenic,thelatterenhancesastralforcesandscoroditehasaspecialrelationship
tothefeelingoffearthedepressivepatientexhibits.Thepatientmay,however,besoweakinhisethericforcesthathe
cannottolerateironandbecomesexcited.Anasthenicconstitution,atendencytobecomeprematurelytiredandexhausted
aresignspointinginthisdirection.Underthesecircumstances,ironshouldbereplacedbytheplant
iron,magnesium.(Magnesiumplaysthesameroleinthechlorophylloftheplantasirondoesintheredblood
substance.)Hepar/MagnesiumD4orD6asinj.hasproventobeagoodmedicationtogetherwithAnagallisD3
orOxalisD4.Magnesiumisusedmorefrequentlyinthebeginningoftherapy.Inviewoftheweakenedcondition,inwhich
theetherbodyofpatientsisfrequentlyatthepresenttime,inductionoftherapywithmagnesiumisimportant.

Ironhasaspecialrelationshiptotheheartthroughthebloodwhichiscollectedintheheart.Heretheironprocess
meetsthegoldprocess,theSelfintheprocessofincarnation.Ironopensthepathtobothsinceitstrengthensthecourage
andwilloftheSelftoincarnate.

Ferrumsidereumistheremedyofchoice.

Indications:Thedepressedpatientfulloffearoflifewhosewillisparalyzed.Thehypersensitive,compulsivepatientwith
fearoftheenvironment.Thehystericalpatient,whoissotospeakflowingoutintotheenvironment.Thepatientwitha
deficiencyofenergywithsymptomsofaweakkidneyradiationandfearoflife.Patientswithfearlfulinhibitionstowardsan
EgoTherapy.

Tin

Thisisthemetaloftheliver.Itmediatesbetweenconsolidationanddissolutionwithinthefluidorganism,between
assimilationanddissimilation.TheEgowhichradiatesthroughthebileprocessesintotheetherbodyisactiveinthefluid
organismbutisnotsubmergedasdeeplyintoorganprocessesasinsilver.INthemercuryprocessofrespiration,theastral
bodyhasalooserrelationshiptotheorganprocess(ascomparedtothekidney).Similarlyinthefluidrespirationoftheliver
theEgodevelopsafreerrelationship(ascomparedtotheheart).Fromacertainaspectthereisarelationshipbetweenthe
Egoactivityintheliverandthatinthebrainasshownintheformationprocessesofthebrainandintheplasticityof
thinking.

ThesoullifereceivesastrongerinfluenceoftheEgothroughtheliverthanitispossiblethroughtheemotionalsoul
lifeofthekidneys.Theemotionaltensionsandrelaxationofthesoullifeofthekidneysengenderedbytheastralbody
becomechangesofmoodintheliver.TheEgohasinternalizedthatwhichhasbeenexperiencedandhastostrugglewith
thestagnationandexplosionofwillforcesindepressionormania.Tinhelpstoestablishanequilibriumbetweendepressive
solidification(pathologicalformofassimilation)andmanicdissolution(pathologicaldissimilation).Suchapolaritycanbe
demonstratedtoacertainextentinthemetabolismofthepatient.Tinproducesthebasictherapyforthecyclothymictype
aswellasfortheneurotic,whoispronetohavedepressiveormanicchangesinmood.Tinisaparticularlyeffectivetherapy
whenitisgivenbetweenthephasesofdepressionormanianotwithinthephase.

Indications:

Thecyclothymicpatient,theneuroticpatientwhosechangesinmoodhaveadeeperrootcausethanthoseofthe
mercurypatient.

Preparations:

InadditiontoStannumpraep.,Arandasitehastoberecommended.Withthistinsilicacombinationtheeffectson

theuppernervesensepoleareincreasedthroughthesilicaportion.Itisusefulinpatientsshowingatendencytowards
manicchangesandincaseofdepressions(outflowing),potenciesD6inmania,D15indepressionsasinjectionsorperos.

Theeffectoftininvegetabilizedformarequitesimilar.

Cichor.StannocultumD2,D3.Inpatientswhoareexhaustedandexhibitacertainfixationaswellasinolder
patientswithdepressions,TaraxacumStannocultumD2,D3isused.Vegetabilizedtinisrecommendedasaccompanying
therapyinpatientswhoshowillfeelingsanddepressionsormanicexplosiveneurotics.Indepressions,itcanbecombined
withHepar/Stannum,inolderpatientswithStannummellitum.

Lead

Thelastoftheuppermetalsinthemetalsserieshasthestrongestrelationshiptothehead,toconsciousness.Thelead
processisrootedinthedegradationofbloodinthespleenthroughwhichforcesoftheEgoarefreedforconsciousness,for
thespirit.

Inthiscase,theEgodoesnotactintheetherbodyasintheliver,itconnectsitselfwiththeastralbody,whichalso
receivesstimulationbycopper.However,indifferencetocopperthroughwhichtheEgocreatesanequilibriumwiththe
astralbody,theEgodominatestheastralbodythroughlead.Itattemptstotransformtheforcesoftheastralbody.Forthis
reason,enthusiasmdevelopsthroughtheactivityofthespleen.ThisalsomakesitunderstandablewhenRudolfSteiner
relatesthespleentothespiritself,whichrepresentsthetransformedastralbodyinthefuturespiritualevolutionofman.

Inthespleen,thestrongestimpulsetotransformtheearthlyisopposedbythestrongestimpulseforattaining

Egotherapydonotonlycomplementandsupporteachotherbutonetherapyisabletoamplifytheeffectsoftheother
therapy.

Forthetherapybasedonmedications,psychotherapymayopenupwiderhorizons.Moredifferentiatedrelationsto
personality,biographyandlifephasesarerevealed.Thetherapeuticactionofmedicinescanbedirectedmorespecificallyto
aparticularorganandcantakeonamoreconcreteformbecausepsychotherapyisabletocontributetoarefinementofthe
psychologyoforgans.Thesimultaneousinvolvementofotherorgansassociatedwiththemajordisturbanceofoneorgan
processmaybeseenmoreclearly.

Similarly,awideningofthehorizonsofpsychotherapycanbedevelopedthroughthesistertherapy,particularlyin
thedirectionofthecosmos.Theorganrelationsrevealviewsintothespheresoftheplanets,whichinturninfluencethe
sevenyearperiodsofhumanlife.Psychotherapycanalsotakeonmoreconcreteforms.Throughtheuseofacertain
medicinethecontributionofonecanbecomeclearerforthepsychotherapistandhewillbeabletodirecthispsychotherapy
morespecificallytoonespecificorgan.Throughsuchorganaspectsacounterweightisdevelopedbalancingapsychotherapy
whichhasbecometoopersonallyinvolvedwiththepatientresultingintoostrongandfixedbondsofthepatienttothe
psychotherapist.

Psychotherapyworkdowntothebody,medicinesworkuptotheconscioussoullife.Thesetwotherapeutic
processesmeeteachother.Onecouldaskthequestion:inwhichorgansphere,inwhichrealmofthesouldotheymeetin
onecaseoranother?Inthelastanalysis,itisthemeeting,thedialoguebetweenthewordofthehumanspiritandthe
wordsoftheworldsinthehealingsubstance,ofwhichthetherapistmaybecomeawareofinhisconsciousness.

TheSelf,carryingoutthetherapy,movesalwaysbetweentwolevelsoftherapy.Throughdestinytherapistsare
moreinclinedtotheoneorotherleveloftherapybutineachcasethesomaticaswellasthepsychicrealmhastobetaken
intoaccount.Eventhoughatherapistmaynotbeableorwillingtobeactiveinbothrealms,heshouldhavebothinhis
consciousness.Ifhewantstolimithimself,heshould,ifatallpossible,cooperatewithacolleague,whohasavocationalcall
forandexperienceinadifferentfield.Inthisconnection,astatementbyRudolfSteinershouldbementionedthat
specializationhasbecomeanecessity,butitshouldbecompensatedbysomeformofsocialization.[i]

Exchangeandcooperationbetweentherapists,whoarepredominantlyworkinginthesomaticfieldandthosewho
arepredominantlyworkingwithinpsychotherapy,mayhelpthatwithintheframeworkofanthroposophicmedicinethe
patientisnotonlyrecognizedinhistotality,butcanalsoreceiveanevermoreeffectivetherapy.
