INTRODUCTION
8 | Page
Now a days population is increasing day by day. The
average population increasing is 80million per annum. So
there will be no place for future era. So, we must build a
new artificial space colony. It will have all facilities like
on earth to have a routine life. We are creating crops
without soil. NASA gave an opportunity to teenagers. By
this they get new ideas from them. We are from 8th class
are in to build a new artificial space colony. We have
named it as SHASVA THE SPACE COLONY.
SHASVA DERIVATION
9 | Page
We have tried many names but they are not suitable for
our space colony. We have thought that the SHASVA
could be the best name for our space colony. Derivation of
SHASVA is-

Atmosphere
11 | P a g e
Earth has 78 percent of nitrogen and 21 percent of
oxygen. We want to build a colony similar to earth so we
are using same gases as in earth. Venus has more amount
of carbon dioxide so; we want to get the carbon dioxide
from mars to our space colony. And we want to take
nitrogen and oxygen from mars. After taking these gases
we will release them in our space colony so, that
atmosphere will form.
Chapter: 2
Ozone layer
12 | P a g e
Some might get a doubt that cans we make artificial
ozone layer? Yes we can make it by an equation O2(g)
+ H20 O3(g) + 2H+ + 2e
The water gets electrolyzed, during the electrolysis of
water when the voltage is set above the necessary voltage.
This produces Hydrogen and Oxygen gases from water.
Oxygen so produced gets ionized at the anode and forms
Ozone. By this we can prepare ozone and used it to
protect from ultraviolet rays

Chapter: 4Transportation
14 | P a g e
4.1solar powered cars
We are using solar powered cars and we are allowing
taking bicycles from earth because bicycles do not
pollution to our space colony. We have designed in way
that they can be recharged they run on a rechargeable
battery. They have solar panels on the top and at front
only these are used for transportation. These cars does not
pollute the space colony
15 | P a g e
4.2 flying cars
We are using flying cars also because it is an easier
way of transportation. They do not pollute the
environment they run on a rechargeable battery.
These fly at a distance of 5km from earth with a
speed of 180km/hr. it goes automatically where u
pointed on the map. It can carry only one person.

Chapter: 5: Bases
5.1 LUNAR BASE
We want materials for constructing houses, industries,
factories and many more we get these materials from
moon. We are using these materials
1. Oxygen
2. Iron
3. Silicon
4. Calcium
5. Aluminum
6. Magnesium
7. Titanium

Shasva Shape
18 | P a g e
Shasva resembles shape of Rhombus. There are five
blocks in our space colony. Main block and other 4
blocks. 4 blocks are located in vertices of rhombus and
main block is at the centre of rhombus each block is
connected to main block and its adjacent blocks through
the tunnels. This entire structure rotates around the earth
so, transiction of day and night takes place.

8.1 MAIN BLOCK
Main block function is to take care of the other four blocks. The
diameter of this block is 3.5km. In this main block 40 percent of
the land will go to the government. And 20 percent will go for
robotics, research and development centers. And other 20
percent will go for telecommunications and internet
development. And other 20 percent of the space is for solar
panels room.
That means

8.2 1ST BLOCK (AGRICULTURE)
A life is not there without food. Food is not there without
agriculture. We are mainly dependent on agriculture for
our food. Most of our food products are obtained from
plants. The plants which are grown in large number to get
useful food products are known as crops. The process of
growing crops is called Agriculture. The size of this block
is 2km. 75 percent of the land is for agriculture and other
25 percent is for animal husbandry. We will take the seeds
from the earth to space and also, we take nutritional
solution for the plants so, that they can grow. But the
sponge planting needs soil so; we must take soil from the
earth a limited quantity
The size of each facility is as follows-
2*75/100=1.5km
2*25/100=0.5km
We are following three methods for agriculture
27 | P a g e
8.2.1 Sponge planting
It is an easier way to grow plants without soil. There are 5 steps
for this
Step-1: we take fast growing seed from earth. We take about
10,000 seeds of sprouts, radishes, lettuce.
Step-2: sponges are kept in water for 10 sec so, that they observe
water. Squeeze the sponge until it is moist. Place this sponge on
a plate.
Step -3: plant the seeds in the holes of the sponge. A distance
should be maintained from seed to seed. Place this plate in a
sunny area.
Step-4: check the sponge daily as the sponge must remain moist
constantly. Add 1tbsp of water at a time to avoid overwatering.
Step-5: plant annual flowers in a sunny garden spot when the
roots are about inch to 1 inch long
29 | P a g e
8.2.3 Fogponics
Fog phonics is better than Aeroponics. Aeroponics is also
better way for growing plants but Fogponics uses 5-30m
mist within root chamber. Plants observe small droplets of
water quickly. The mist is collected from the industry
smoke and factories smoke. The mist is released at a
period of time at a limited quantity. This mist moves the
nutritional solution. This gives the plants nutrients.

8.3 2 block (Residential)
The size of this block is 2.5km. The 50 percent of the land
will go to residential houses and 25 percent of the land
will go for general stores, pharmacy, grocery, etc. 20
percent of the land is for hospitals. And the other 15
percent of the land is for RIPS. Houses are designed in a
way that there is a living room, dining hall, 2bed rooms, 2
bathrooms, kitchen and a store room. In each house there
will be a human powered bicycle which powers your
house. This house is convenient and comfortable for 4-6
persons. Medicines are exported from the earth per every
month through rockets. Vegetables are shifted from 1st
block with the help of machines these vegetables are kept
at grocery for fixed price. We are keeping hospitals in this
block because if anything happens to a person they can be
immediately admitted in hospitals. The size of each
facility is-

8.4 3 block (entertainment)
Now a days people can live without oxygen but not
without entertainment. So, we are keeping entertainment
in our space colony. It includes hotels, education, parks,
cinema theatre, shopping malls, and film city. The size of
this block is 5km. The land for each facility is as follows:
Hotels 10%-
5*10/100=0.5km
Education 25%-
5*25/100=1.25km
Parks 20%-
5*10/100=0.5km

8.5 4 block [industries]
The size of the block is 9km. 35 percent of the block is for
private industries. 10 percent of the land belongs to
government industries. 20 percent is for factories. 15
percent of land is for companies. 10 percent of the land is
for banks. 10 percent is for waste management. Industries
are very useful in space. We get important goods from the
industries. There will be only small scale industry. We
need metals for constructing industries we get metals
from earth and moon by rockets. Moon mining is done by
machines. There we will be less pollution because there
will be no fossil fuels. Instead of fossil fuels we are using
natural gas. The smoke is connected to a pipe which has a
filter which removes harmful components for plants and
this smoke is sent to the 4th block for agricultural and
Aeroponics and Fogponics. Factories are also useful for
general uses like if we get hungry we want to eat biscuits
chocolates etc.., the method we followed for pollution of
industries is same for factories. The size of the land for
each facility is as follows-
Private Industry-
9*35/100=3.15km
36 | P a g e
Government industry-
9*10/100=0.9km

Chapter: 9 TUNNELS
There are four tunnels connected to the main block. Each
block has three tunnels connected to its adjacent blocks
and main block. The length of each tunnel is 500 meters.
In these tunnels we are building roads. And the roads have
street lights which automatically on at night and off at
day. We are using titanium which we can bring from
moon. Titanium was discovered by William Gregory.
38 | P a g e
Chapter: 10 ARTIFICAL GRAVITY
Gravity is formed with the help of centripetal and
centrifugal forces in our space. For example the force
which is applied by our space colony on the earth so, that
our space colony revolves around the earth this is called
centripetal force. The apparent force which is equal and
opposite for centripetal force is called centrifugal force.
Fc=mv^2/r
mg=mv^2/r
g=v^2/r
g=9.8m/s^2
r=8500km
V^2=g*r
V^2=9.8*8500
V^2=83300
V=288.617
The thrusts are at a speed of 288.617.The thrusts are kept
for each block. So, that the block rotates around the earth
and the artificial gravity generates due to this the space
colony attains gravity.

Chapter: 12
12.1 CARBYNE
It was proposed by Adolf van Baeyer in 1885, it is an infinitely
long carbon chain. Previously the record length of carbyne is
roughly 100 carbon atoms, but now it was more than 6400 atoms
made by the Thomas pichler. This can be used as protective
layer because it is stronger than diamond. Diamond also can be
used as a protective layer, but it is quite rare. Carbyne layer
protect us from asteroids.
41 | P a g e
12.2 Graphene
Graphene is a thin layer of pure carbon atoms. It is in a
shape of hexagonal honeycomb structure. Graphene is a
combination of graphite and suffix ene, named by Peter
Boehm. We are using this as protective layer because it is
200 times stronger than the strongest steel. It is stronger
and cheaper when we compare to a diamond. It cost is 30
USD/kg approximately 2000/- in Indian currency. It is
best conductor of heat and electricity.
42 | P a g e
Chapter: 13 Electricity
13.1 SOLAR PANELS
Solar panels observe the ultraviolet rays of the sun and
change them into electricity. We are getting 650-700 Solar
panels from earth. But we are using 450-500 of them. We
are storing the other panels in a room for safety. We are
using these solar panels for main block, 3rdblock and
4thblock. If any panel gets destroyed or fails to work they
will replace immediately. For other uses there are other
facilities like human powered cycle.
44 | P a g e
13.3 URINE ELECTRICITY
With help of urine we can make alternative
electricity. As the urine contains most of the water
percentage we can make electricity. We use 100%
percent of this urine to generate electricity. There are
many ways to get electricity but we think this
method is suitable to generate electricity. There is a
process to make urine electricity that is
1.We collect the urine after that we pour in
electrolytic by this we can separate hydrogen
from this.
2.After this the hydrogen enters to the water
purification and gets pushed Into the gas
cylinder
3. Then the gas cylinder pushes the Hydrogen into
the cylinder of liquid borax, which removes the
moisture from hydrogen.
4. This purified hydrogen is pushed into the
generator.

Chapter 14: Robotics
Now a days technology has improved due to this the
invention of robots. Scientists are designing
humanoid robots which makes our work and
convenient. But the society is not accepting them
because they feel that they harm them. If the
quantity of robots increases the robots get feelings
and then they destroy us. So, we are not using
humanoid robots. We are using robots which are
designed by us.
47 | P a g e
Chapter 15: Types of robots
15.1 Protective robot
This protective robot repairs protective layer when the
layer is damaged. These robots have power boosters at
their legs which help them to fly. These robots are stored
in main block. These robots run on a rechargeable battery.
These robots get recharged with the help of solar energy.
The height of the robot is 6ft. These are controlled by the
government. This has an antenna which receives the
signals. The signals are given by transmitter. The eyes of
these robots are designed as cameras this can show the
view of the damage in the transmitter. There are repairing
tools in the robot body which helps in repairing the
damaged layer.

15.2 Teaching robot
Teaching robots will teach the students according to their
books and syllabus. We choose ICSE syllabus in our
space colony. These books will transport from the earth.
This robot will clarify doubts of students by telling the
answer and showing an image on its screen. This robot
also tells about weather conditions and news in space
colony by receiving signals of robotics, research and
development centre by antenna. This robot will not show
partiality between a boy and a girl. These robots excuse
for a 1stmistake and then warn for 2nd mistake and finally
give punishment for his 3rd mistake. It does not allow
cheating in exam. This runs on a rechargeable battery.
This robots store information and retrieve when needed.
There are two wheels at bottom of this robot to move. The
eyes of this robot are designed as projectors.

15.4 Police robot
The police robots will take care of every block. These
robots are made up of aluminum and coated with zinc.
They have special armors and weapons like AK47 and
shotguns. They also have power boosters in their legs.
Whenever it catches the criminals it weakens their energy
and takes the criminals to the jail. If any criminals are
causing harm to the colony badly will be killed. It doesnt
harm the people and do their work perfectly. It is very
helpful to the society.

55 | P a g e
15.5 Repairing robot
There are several robots in every block. It repairs the
damaged robots with the help of tools. The tools are
stored in its body. The robots send signals to this robot
when it fails to work. So, that this robot goes to the failed
robot and repairs it with the tools.

Chapter: 16 Currency
In our space colony at first we have decided to use
barter system. Afterwards with principal madam
suggestion we have known that it will be difficult to
manage. So, we have decided to use currency in the
form of a paper. Our MBO note contains a photo of
Dwight d Eisenhower. We have decided to keep his
photo because he is the founder of NASA. We have
kept a\the design of our space colony at back side of the
note. These are made in the 4th block in government
industry. In our space colony money is called as
MBOS. It does not have any full form. Maximum
value of notes is 1000MBOS. Minimum value of notes
is 5 MBOS. We also want to use swiping machines and
debit cards. The swiping machines and debit cards are
given by bank in 4th block.

19.2 Lunar water
Recently NASA found that moon surface is having water
molecules [H2O]. So by moon mining we can get the
water. The water is transferred from moon to earth with
the help of space crafts.
64 | P a g e
Chapter: 20 Communications
We are using three ways for communication
1. Laser communication
2. Fiber optical communication
3. Satellite communication
65 | P a g e
20.2 Fiber optical communication
In this way we need optical fiber. Through the optical
fiber the information is transmitted from one place to
another. Optical fiber is used to transmit telephone
signals, Internet communication, and cable television
signals. It is made up of copper wires. It needs cell tower
to communicate. For each cell tower there is a distance of
500metres.
66 | P a g e
20.3 Satellite communication
A communications satellite is an man-made satellite that
relays and amplifies radio telecommunications signals
through transponder; it creates a communication between
a transmitter and a receiver at different locations on our
space colony. Communications satellites are used for
television, telephone, and internet. We want to use 5
satellites as our space colony is short when we compared
to earth. These satellites are kept at a height of 100-120
kilometers high from our space colony. These satellites
rotate around our space colony.
67 | P a g e
Chapter: 21 Asteroid catchers
These asteroid catchers are designed in a flower shape
with only two petals. If an asteroid comes to our space
colony we can know it through radars which are in
robotics research and development center so, that they
send robots which minimize their speed. These asteroid
catchers catch the asteroids and comets and mine them
with machines.
