document to Landscape then click OK and then click OK again to send the job over to CWS.

3. Right click on the name of the job you sent to CWS and select properties.

NOTE: If you do NOT want booklets with covers continue to step #8 otherwise continue with step #4.

4. Under Paper Source click the button under Mixed Media for DEFINE.
5. Click on the button for Define Covers
6. To print Covers;
a. Check the box for Front Covers,
b. set Duplex to Top-Top,
c. set Cover Page Mode to what you prefer,
d. set Paper Source to the tray you have your covers in,
e. set Media Type to the type of paper you are using for cover,
f. set Paper Size to Letter SEF or 11x17 [Ledger] SEF depending on what size document you are printing.
g. Click OK
7. Click OK.
8. Under the Finishing tab set Page Order to REVERSE and Duplex to TOP-TOP then scroll down and set
Folding to BOOKLET FOLD and STAPLE. Click PRINT.
9. If your document comes out correctly you can now add your quantity to CWS and release the job again.

SO What Will It Do IF?

I want to run more than a 15 page signature booklet?
If you put more than 15 sheets in the document handler or if you try to send more than 15 pages with booklet
mode selected, you will get a message that you have exceeded maximum limit for Booklet Maker. This is
because the maximum number of pages allowed is 15. The stapler will only staple up to 15 sheets of 20lb paper
reliably.

NOTE: for booklets the operational definition for this document of page is the sheet of paper that is being printed
on. It is understood that this page will be folded in half to make the booklet. There for the one printed page may
result in 4 pages in the booklet.

How to Print on Carbonless Paper

Depending on whether you are copying or printing & which tray you are using, will decide if you use the straight
collated carbonless** or Reverse collated carbonless paper.

If you are copying, you can use straight or reverse collated in any tray as you can stipulate face up or face down
output.

However, with printing, you cannot stipulate this. If you are using trays 1, 2, 3, or 4, with printing, use the reverse
collated carbonless paper. If you are using tray 5, 6 or 7, then you can use the straight collated carbonless paper.

NOTE: "XEROX Premium Digital Carbonless stock is not intended for sole usage, nor is it recommended to
exceed this monthly print volume without interim service." (Monthly print volume not to exceed 125K.)

**"NCR" is a brand name of carbonless paper and is a commonly used term when referring to carbonless paper

What Will It Do When I import multiple scanned pages from 4110 mailbox
to Adobe Acrobat 6.x
The 4110 mailbox can only import one scanned page at time into Adobe Acrobat 6 from the 4110 mailbox even if
it is a multi-page scan. This is a problem with Adobe Acrobat 6.x. The only workaround is to scan each page
separately. The alternative would be to either downgrade to Adobe 5 or upgrade to Adobe 7.

What Will It Do Image Orientation When I Scan In TIFF vs. PDF

The [Originals Orientation] only applies to PDF files, not to TIFFs. Per the 4110 Engineering Team, when
scanning a job, the read manuscript cannot be physically rotated within a device.

In the case of a TIFF, even when a portrait manuscript is read as Long Edge Feed (LEF), when it is displayed at
the PC, it will be displayed as an oblong (Short Edge Feed - SEF). If the customer desires that TIFFs be
displayed in Portrait orientation, the documents must be scanned in SEF.

The [Originals Orientation] can be specified in the attribute file format for a PDF by:
1. Log in as System Administration; enter user information as required
2. Select [System Settings]
3. Select [System Settings]
4. Select [Scan Mode Settings]
5. Select [Scan Defaults]
6. Select [Original Orientation] [Change Settings]
7. Change to [Head to Top] [Save]
8. Select [Close] several times, then [Exit]

The PDF viewer rotates and shows the document according to the specification of the [Originals Orientation].

How to run jobs with pre cut tabs

The 4110 EPS is able to print on pre cut tab stock - with the following caveats:

1. The system does not have automatic job recovery for ordered stocks.
This will need to be handled manually by the user.

2. The system does not support automatic kick out of unused tabs.
This can be handled within the application or manually.

3. Currently, the 4110/4590 EPS DocuSP GUI and drivers do not directly support the PreCutTab media type.
The workaround is to use the Full Cut Tab or custom media types.
This may cause issues for applications that explicitly call out PreCutTab media.

How To Set Up Tab Purge Tray

Problem / symptom You can insert tab pages in job using the Mixed Media print option. Tab pages come in sets
(of three or five, for example), with each tab position offset from the previous one so that the tabs do not overlap.
If a job requires more tab pages than are in a single set, additional sets are used. Tab pages are left over if the
job uses only part of a set. For example, when you are using standard tab stock (like a 5-bank tab set), you may
sometimes print on 3 of the tabs. On some printers the 2 unused to tab to go to a designated separate tray (like
the top tray). On 4110 with EXP4110, the blank tabs are inserted to finisher tray with the rest of print job. You can
change this behavior by programming a Tab Purge Tray. The Tab Purge Tray setting specifies which output tray
to use when the copier ejects unused tab pages that are left over after printing a job with tab inserts.

NOTE: Tab Purge Tray is available in version 1.1, when the Production Printing Package is enabled on the Fiery
EXP4110.

You can set the Tab Purge Tray for a job in the Windows PostScript and Mac OS X printer drivers. You can set
the default setting in PS Setup

What Will It Do When I Change the Tab Stock Tray in Mailbox

You save job to a Mailbox and job faults when changing Tab Stock Paper Trays an 024-747 fault code is raised
(Print Instruction Failed) and the job does not print. Or it may try to feed from the original Tab Stock Tray which
results in a paper jam.
The Paper Tray setting for a job in a Mailbox cannot be changed if the paper stock is 'Tab'. This is a specification
limitation.

SUGGESTED WORKFLOW: Always load tab stock in a specific tray, such as Tray 4. When saving a tab job to a
Mailbox, always specify the Tab Stock Tray (Tray 4).
