andX/RRatiofromtheUtility.CananyonetellmehowtheX/Rratioisusedinthe
shortcircuitcalculationwhenitcomesformtheUtilityandthenisreferredthrougha
transformer?

breakeristryingtoopen.Somebreakers'interruptingratingshavetobereducedfor
highX/Rfaults.

ForafaultonthesecondaryofthetransformertheX/Rwouldbethesumofthe
utilityXandtransformerXdividedbythesumoftheutilityRandtransformerR,ifwe
negelectfaultcontributionfromdownstreamloads.

X/Rfault=(Xutil+Xtxmr)/(Rutil+Rtxmr).AllX'sandR'shavetobeonthesame
base.

Ifthereareothersourcesoffaultcurrents,likemotorsorgenerators,their
impedancesandtheimpedancesoftheinterconnectingcableshavetobecombinedin
theproperseriesorparallelequationstocomeupwiththeequivalentXandRatthe
