Duties and Responsibilities

Assess the condition of different type of patient

Assessment of Airway, Breathing and Circulation
Assessment of level of consciousness, advance neuro assessment like Glasgow
coma scale.
Assist the doctor in performing diagnosis and therapeutics procedures like
endotrachial intubations and extubations, insertion of central line, arterial,
abdominal tapping, Lumbar puncture, bone marrow aspiration, inter costal tube
insertion and drainage.
 Prepare the patient for procedures like MRI Scan, CT Scan, Upper GI Endoscopy
and IVP.
Give the CPR and Advance Life Support for critically ill patient
Dilution and administration of ACLS Drugs like Atropine, Adrenaline, Dopamine,
Dobutamine, Lidocaine, Amiodarone and SodaBicarb.
Assist the application of cast, skin traction and skeletal traction.
ABG specimen collection from
1. Arterial line
2. Femoral Artery
3. Radial Artery
Care of patient on ventilator
Tracheotomy care
Care of patient with ICD
Placement of Nasogastric tube
Shifting of patient from hospital to another hospital
Oxygen administration through facemask, nasal cannula, external CPAP mask
Suturing using various types of sutures and staples
Application of steri strip, suture removal, staple removal and cast removal
Do cardio version and give electric shock using defibrillator
Care of the patient with supra public cather
Meeting clients psychological needs by providing emotional support to clients &
family meeting spiritual needs & care of the dead & dying
