Activity Objective
In this lab, you will adding an analog encoder, then adding an analog camera to that encoder manually. Next, we will add several
cameras from a template csv file.
2. If you see a security warning, accept the warning and continue to the login page.
4. All of Building 28 is older analog cameras, so we will add an encoder for that building.
5. Click Add and enter the following information in the dialog box:

c. Install Location: click the globe and choose Mn2 > Building 28 > Bldg 28 1st Floor then click
OK.
f. Username: admin
g. Password ????

8. When the analog encoder finishes provisioning it will show a summary page for the encoders information.
9. All of Building 30 is also older analog cameras, so we will add an encoder for that building.
Task 2: Adding Analog Camera
1. Next, we will add an Analog Camera manually under the analog encoders we just created, starting with Building 28.
2. In the navigation pane, click HQ > Mn2 > Building 28 > Bldg 28 1st Floor, then click Bldg 28 Encoder 1.
4. Under Video Ports, click the green plus sign [+] next to the number 1.
a. Video Port: 1
d. Install Location: click the globe and choose HQ > Mn2 > Building 28 > Bldg 28 1st Floor.
Click OK.
7. Click the Cameras tab and go to HQ > Mn2 > Building 28 > Bldg 28 1st Floor. Click the Bldg 28 Entrance camera and click
on the Image tab to ensure that there is video streaming properly.

8. We can also use a second method for manually adding an analog camera to this encoder.
10. Click Add, click the Analog Camera radio button, and then enter the following information in the dialog box:

e. Install Location: click the globe and choose HQ > Mn2 > Building 28 > Bldg 28 1st Floor.
Click OK.
4. Click the radio button next to Analog Camera and leave the Pre-Provision box checked.
5. Click Next.
6. Click the Download Sample icon, and then click the arrow next to Save. Choose Save As to save the file to the desktop.
7. Rather than edit this file with all of the information required, to save time in this lab we have provided a pre-edited version of
this file on the desktop named AnalogCameraImport-dCloud.csv.
8. Click the Next button and choose the AnalogCameraImport-dCloud.csv file from the desktop and click Open.
9. Click Next to import all of the camera information and then click Close.
10. Now that these cameras have been pre-provisioned, you need to enable them within the VSOM application.
12. Click the arrow next to Encoder Filters to expand this section and show all existing filters. It should be empty.
13. Click the plus sign [+] next to Encoder Filters to add a filter.
15. Click Search and you should see the two analog cameras you manually provisioned as well as six new analog cameras added
from the CSV file.
16. You now need to place these cameras in the correct location. First, click the check box next to Bldg 28 Test Area Camera 1
and Bldg 28 Test Area Camera 2 and then click Change Location.
19. Next, click the check box next to Bldg 28 Office Area Camera 1, Bldg 28 Office Area Camera 2, Bldg 28 Demo Camera
1, and Bldg 28 Demo Camera 2 and then click Change Location.
22. You now need to assign templates to these cameras within the building. Click the check box next to Bldg 28 Test Area
Camera 1 and Bldg 28 Test Area Camera 2 and then click Change Template.
23. Click the Bldg 28 Test Area template and then click OK.
25. Click the check box next to Bldg 28 Office Area Camera 1 and Bldg 28 Office Area Camera 2, and then click Change
Template.
26. Click the Bldg 28 Office Area template and then click OK.
28. Click the check box next to Bldg 28 Demo Camera 1 and Bldg 28 Demo Camera 2, and then click Change Template.
29. Click the Bldg 28 Demo Area template and then click OK.
31. Finally, you will check the box next to ALL of the pre-provisioned cameras and click Enable.
32. Click Yes to confirm.
33. Once the updates have finished, all of the cameras have been provisioned and enabled. You can close this window and view
each of these cameras within Building 28.
34. We will now assign and provision the final cameras, which will be in Building 30. These were already imported with the first
batch, so we just click the Bulk Actions button.
35. Click the arrow next to Encoder Filters to expand this section and show all existing filters. It should be empty.
36. Click the plus sign [+] next to Encoder Filters to add a filter.
38. Click Search and you should see three new analog cameras added from the CSV file.
39. You now need to place these cameras in the correct location. First, click the check box next to ALL of the cameras in the list and
then click Change Location.
42. You now need to assign templates to these cameras within the building. Click the check box next to Bldg 30 Outdoor
Analog and then click Change Template.
43. Click the Bldg 30 Outdoor template and then click OK.
45. Click the check box next to Bldg 30 Indoor Analog and then click Change Template.
46. Click the Bldg 30 Indoor Analog template and then click OK.
48. Click the check box next to Bldg 30 Entrance and then click Change Template.
49. Click the Bldg 30 Entrance Camera template and then click OK.
51. Finally, you will check the box next to ALL of the pre-provisioned cameras and click Enable.
53. Once the updates have finished, all of the cameras are provisioned and enabled. You can close this window and view each of
these cameras within Building 30.
54. Clear the Encoder Filter in the Bulk Actions window and click Search.
55. You should see all 17 cameras created in Scenarios 8 and 9. See Figure 5 below.

78. Click the Select All check box at the top left (See Figure 5) and then click Default Motion Window.
