PRELIMINARY
1.1 Background
The hospital is an institution whose main function provides services to patients in
diagnostic and therapeutic for various diseases and health problems both surgical and non
surgical. Efforts made by approaching health maintenance, health improvement (promotion),
disease prevention (preventive), the healing of disease (curative) and recovery (rehabilitative)
implemented harmoniously, integrated and sustainable.
The hospital has various forms of service, one pelayananrawat hospitalized.
Hospitalization is a personal health services yangmeliputi observation, diagnosis, treatment,
nursing, medical rehabilitation with a stay at the inpatient unit at government health facilities
and private hospitals and health centers and maternity care, which is due to the illness the
patient should stay. In carrying out activities in various facilities ruangrawat require
hospitalization, medical and non-medical. In order to perform the function of the hospital as a
health-care facilities, Especially in the inpatient unit to fit with the vision and mission of the
hospital then every inpatient requires a standard operating procedure for carrying out the
public service to match the standard of health services in Indonesia.

2.1 Special Hospitals
Is a hospital that provides key services in one area or one particular type of disease,
based disciplines, ages, organ or type of disease.
is a specialty hospitals (Special Hospital) who held only one kind of medical health
service only. Today many hospitals this class is found eg, hospitals leprosy, tuberculosis,
heart disease, cancer, mothers and children.

2.2 Types of Special Hospital


Hospitals specifically include Special Hospital Mother and Child, Heart, Cancer,
Orthopaedic, Lung, Soul, Leprosy, Eye, Drug Addiction, Stroke, Infectious Diseases,
Maternity, Dental, Rehabilitation Medicine, Ear Nose Throat, Surgery, kidney, Dermatology.
1. Special hospital mother and child
Mother and Child Hospital by hospital type classification is a special hospital
for the type E (special hospital) which organize only one kind of medical health care,
namely in the field of health services for mothers and children. In the Mother and
Child Hospital services and facilities are intended to be a mother and a child feel safe
and comfortable to be in the hospital. It is known that a good mother who is pregnant
or not as well as mothers who are experiencing illness about pregnancy certainly has a
different character, so it needs special care for mothers in the health sector. It is almost
similar to the character of a small child who could not be equated with adults on are
generally, resulting in the development of the current era, services and facilities for
mothers and is expected existence.

2. Cardiac specialty hospitals


Heart Hospital is a specialty hospital that carries only one kind of medical
service only. The main activity at the Heart Hospital is to provide treatment, care and
relief to every human need.

is a hospital that specialized in orthopedic problems. Orthopedic surgery or

Orthopedic surgeons face most of musculoskeletal diseases, including arthritis,
trauma and congenital using equipment surgical and non-surgical.
