Elementary: K-5 Gifted Education Training: 2016 Module 1 Nature and Needs DAY TWO
Participants will learn about the specific needs of gifted students, their personalities, and what makes them both a
joy and a challenge to teach. This session will be taught by a FISD GT teacher with a master's degree in gifted
education, who has taught GT students for over a decade. Teachers will leave the session with tools to recognize
typical and atypical gifted students and how to best serve them. Participants must register and attend day one
(September 27th). Two hours of outside work will also need to be completed to receive the full 6 hours of credit.
Participants will receive their assignment during their September 27th course.
