This is especially true when you let them get involved in your job application. If you want to apply for a job in the built environment as a construction professional, I advise you to make sure you don’t let them do the application on your behalf and this is why: They will misrepresent you Unless she is a Hard Hat professional herself, she won't know the difference between a Civil Engineer who works for a Construction firm and one that works for a Built Environment Professional firm(i.e. Consulting); or the difference between a JBCC document and a FIDIC document. When she applies on your behalf, she will most likely put in applications for positions you are not suitable for. It gives the impression that you lack ambition In my experience, these people do not get involved unless they think you are not doing enough and that lacks initiative which translates to lack of ambition. This means that you are not a leader and you will always need to be led and that is not the character traits required for a Hard Hat Professional. ipatwww.hhp.cozalarchivestertica-application- mistake 48 aiszo17 ‘Are you a Construction Professional? Or a Mommy's boy? - The Hard Hal Professional It gives the impression that you are whipped In most cases when she gets involved it is because she thinks you can do better elsewhere and it is not necessarily your decision but hers, which means she persistently edged you into a decision. This is not a good indicator, because that means you will also be bullied on site thus losing your employer a great deal of money. 2 ves the impression that you are a mummy's boy shares ity likes to employ a Mummy's boy, because as we all know Mummy’s boys don’t make bepons without Mummy’s permission. A Construction professional has to make very vy G+ s decisions sometimes with serious consequences decisions might not be as serious but a decision has to be made nevertheless i.e. on a afternoon your colleagues want to go for a drink, are you going to ask for Mommy's Erg ssion? Nan, that is not good. (Okay... Okay I also have to ask for permission to go to 'b, but for Pete’s sake don’t make it so obvious) 4ly hear of Fathers/Husbands/Boyfriends applying for jobs on behalf of others, most Je Hard Hat Professionals make their own enquiries which could be because of one of the ing reasons: a) Women are bullies OR b) Male Hard Hat Professionals are the weaker sex despite what society tells us Igo with a) it makes me sleep well at night Ona serious note you are better off doing the job application yourself, nobody can represent you better than yourself... not even your MOTHER!!!
