Reflection on Peer Observation Feedback

My second lesson that taught observed by my classmate Khadija on 1

March 2017 which was about Rocks Types. I taught grade two section,

B students. Besides, my partner Khadija and I went through my lesson

weakness and strengths into these following point:

o Strength

When I prepared my lesson plan, I devote part of the engage stage to

recall students prior knowledge which we considered during our

discussion as one of my strength. I noticed that remembering their

background about the new concept and link it with the additional

information that they will learn it contributes to making them feel

involved and familiar with the new lesson. Besides, I tried my best to

ask them several kinds of questions to increase students talk and give

them the opportunity to share their thoughts. My partner Khadija

argued that asking questions motivated students to participate and pay

attention to me. Moreover, I used different techniques as a transition

to move from one activity to another to make sure that all of the

students are in standby mode for the next activity. That helped to

build an organized lesson and helped me to achieve my objectives.

Furthermore, at the end of the lesson, I did a quick review as an oral

discussion with the whole class to make sure that they reached the

learning objective. From my peers perspective, my way of concluding

the lesson by reviewing the main ideas of the new concept which will

allow students to organize their thoughts in their minds.

o Weakness and area need development

On the other hand, for the individual work, I noticed that some

student was struggling with complicated or confusing terms such as

powdery and jagged. My partner suggestion was to prepare

differentiation papers for low, medium and high students because that

will be fair for all of them.

o Recommendation for the next lesson

For my next lesson, I will focus on each students abilities, and I will

try to prepare an activity that appropriates for their skills.
