AIMS OF LESSON:
By the end of the lesson students will be able to:
to make the difference between the sg. and pl. forms of the genitive apostrophe
to use the structure in the right context
to talk about possession
OBJECTIVES:
A. Cognitive objectives:
to check and improve vocabulary;
to encourage students to talk freely;
help students talk about possible future events and actions;
to give students more practice on pronunciation, vocabulary and the structures previously
taught.
B. Affective objectives:
making students confident in their ability to use the language;
creating interest in the topic of the lesson;
creating a relaxed atmosphere, proper for studying;
ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS:
T will offer Ss guidance in solving certain exercises if it is necessary;
T will offer Ss supplementary explanation in Romanian if it is necessary;
Some Ss might have problems when working in pairs or in group.

II. LEAD IN
AIMS: - to create interest in the topic; -to encourage Ss to speak freely; -to check
and improve pronunciation;
Activity 1: Write Luke's family tree on the board. Remind that 's is a genitive
apostrophe. Then add Luke and Charlie's family tree. Ask Ss to replace the names
with the nouns "boys" and put it in the genitive.

III. PRESENTATION
AIMS:-to introduce new structures; -to give students more practice on pronunciation,
vocabulary and the structures previously taught; to make the difference between the sg.
and pl. forms of the genitive apostrophe
Activity 1: make rules for using the sg. and pl. forms of the genitive apostrophe 's,
then tell Ss they will watch a video in order to better understand the genitive
apostrophe. (Possessive Song)

AIMS: - to create a relaxed atmosphere, proper for studying; - use these structures in the
right context; to talk about the plans they have for the future;
Activity 1: Divide the classroom into teams. Give Ss some definitions and the teams race to
answer. (ANNEX 5)

explanations on how to solve it.
