CHAPTER 1. Hard Disk Installing (Standard package includes either HDD or R/W)
Step 1. Install hard disk after opened the DVR lid

4CH
Place the hard disk into the hard disk drive bay, and hook up SATA cable and power cable to their
corresponding ports accordingly.

8CH
Use hard disk mount to lock down the hard disk. Place the hard disk into the hard disk drive bay, and hook
up SATA cable and power cable to their corresponding ports accordingly.

16CH
Use hard disk mount to lock down the hard disk. Place the mount inserted with hard disk to the hard disk
drive bay, and hook up SATA cable and power cable to their corresponding ports accordingly.

Step 2. Screw the bottom 4 corner screw holes (for hard disk mount)

Step 3. Place the lid back on the top of the machine and locking screw holes. Hard disk
installation is complete.

After installation, please reboot the hard disk before recording. For more detailed information,

CHAPTER 2. Panel Appearance
2-1. Front panel controls

Under the LIVE mode (livetime viewing mode) or playback mode, 1~4/8 Channel
1~4/8/16 Channel 1~4/8/16

Under the LIVE mode (livetime viewing mode), press the button to start / stop the auto

CHAPTER 3. Live, Playback Operations
The IR (infrared) remote control and mouse operate varied under different modes; this chapter introduces the
functions of them under three different modes: LIVE, PLAYBACK and PTZ.

Switch to the PLAYBACK Mode by pressing PLAY button under the LIVE mode. The control panel
will appear on far right down on the screen, the control panel can be controlled via mouse cursor.

Snapshot- turn the current screen into the Image and store in USB
device.the Image will be stored in computer on Remote mode

Switch to PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) mode by pressing PTZ button under the LIVE mode. The PTZ icon

4-5-1. Networking Connection


DVR has four different ways to connect Internet for users to choose from:

Local Area Network (LAN)


Select LAN for network connection, the following information is required.

Enter DNS address provided by ISP.

When DHCP is selected, IP address will be assigned by DHCP server automatically

PPPoE
Select PPPOE for network connection, the following information is required.

4-7-3. User Account Setup


The Account Setup menu is used to provide role-based permission independently setting for each user
(maximum of 4 users) to access DVR over network. The default admin account and password is admin and

CHAPTER 5. Backup and Playback Search
5-1. Backup Setup
User can backup any segment of recorded data in a specified time frame. To do so, either a CD R/W or
storage device, like USB, must be connected to the DVR.

Backup

DVF file that can be played by DVFPLAYER

Use the USB flash backup, the system will automatically copy "DVFPLYER" to the USB.

5-1-1. DVF Player Usage
Step1. Install DVR play software to your PC. You can get DVR play file from the CD with DVR Packing.
PS. When you using USB to backup file, DVRplay.exe will copy to USB with the backup file
automatically.
Step2. SetupDVRPlaypack.exe

Step3. Click open and choose and start a DVR backup file

Step4. DVRplay software will play the backup file automatically.

5-2-1. Time Search


TIME SEARCH can search for the specific time of recording data to playback. Press Enter or left click on the
desired date to playback. Note that dates with recording data are marked with a red square System will
start playing back according to the date you selected. Calendar will be shown by using mouse to click on year
and month.

Click date to display recording time of that specific date with time bar. You can change time
(hour/minute/second) or click on a specific time of time bar by mouse then press OK. DVR will playback the
selected recording data.

CHAPTER 6. Remote Software Installation and Setup
AP software: DVR Remote Desktop allows you to remotely access and control the DVR from PC.
p.s. Operation system currently supports Windows XP SP2 and above and Windows Vista, Windows 7

6-1. Application Software Installation and Setup


Step1. Enter the IP address of DVR in IE browser

Step2. Windows as below will show up. Please enter the user name and password. Default user name and
password is admin/1111. Other related setup about user account and password, please check 4-5
Account Setup. The user name and password appeared in this image is only for demonstration.
Actual user name and password depend on the setup of on-site DVR.

Step3. Click on the link to start downloading the AP software.

Step4. Run or Save our AP software

Step5. If you choose to run the software, Start window will be shown up. Please enter information of login
DVR: IP, Port, Username and Password, or choose Play Recorded File to open backup files in
your PC.

Step6. You are now logged onto the DVR.

6-2. How to do remote monitoring through IE
Step1. Enter the IP address of DVR in IE browser. The address appeared in this image is only for
demonstration. Actual address is depending on the setup of on-site DVR.

Step3. Click on Internet Explorer 6, 7, and 8to start downloading the AP software. (The first option is for IE
view, please refer to next chapter for more information)
