Week 10- Honor Him in ALL Things

Part 1
Read: 2 Timothy 1:6-14; 3-4:8. Titus 1 & 3

These readings are taken from the Pastoral Letters. They are like a manual for Christian living.
They instruct and encourage on all aspects of life. Putting God first in all things.

1-How can you better put God first with money?

2-How do we as a society provide for the indigent?

3-How can we have a strong economy if people dont love money?

4-In Titus 3:10-11 we are told to disconnect from a divisive person if they dont listen to our
warnings. Have you ever done this? Howd it turn out?

Read: Hebrews 2 & 3

5-How was Jesus made perfect through suffering?

Jesus understands ALL of our struggles because he too suffered from them. We have to trust
Christ to help us survive suffering and overcome temptation. In Hebrews 3:1 is says fix your
thoughts on Jesus, to ponder carefully and focus on His significance. In an age of fast food,
sound bites and quick fixes, few people take the time to think of anyone but themselves. Least
of all Jesus.

6-How can you stop doing that and listen to Jesus? Fixate on Jesus?
Part 2
Read: Revelation 1, 4, 20, 21 & 22

After reading these bits of Revelation, can you feel how Holy He is? These passages seem out
of our reach; strange enchanted Science Fiction. But its not. Revelation can be a difficult book
to understand, but what we need to take away from it is: There is evil, and He will defeat it.
There is a Heaven, and we can go there.

This book has lots of symbolic language, numbers and warnings. Its scary. Hopefully by now
you know that the Holy Spirit is in you, guiding you, and will save you from the lake of fire.
Because if we dont have Jesus then our eternity is really going to stink! You are either in or
youre out. Washed in the blood of Christ or doomed to Hell. Wearing the mark of the Lamb, or
wearing the mark of the Beast. The faithful must hold on, living the Christlike life. Blessed is the
one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book (22:7). Disciples must remain faithful to
God in the midst of persecution and suffering.

7-Most of us have suffered little for our faith, yet we are tempted to drift away. What do you think
are the greatest temptations we face that would keep us from conquering?

8-How is the vision of God's final victory helpful to you?

9-Do you think this vision is lacking in anyway, that it would not keep your faith strong?

It ends where it began. In a garden. A garden of innocence, like Eden before the Fall. No evil is
permitted, not even a snake, for the Tempter is dead. Never lose hope, because the final victory
belongs to Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
