Introduction

For a profound comprehension of the study, several case studies on existing heritage
buildings, sites and structures were taken for a clearer perception on what further development
can be applied on the study based on the pattern harnessed by these structures. The significance
of these studies is reflected on how it can be a useful tool on the revitalization of the Asilo de
Huerfanos.

This study also features useful methods about preservation and taking care of cultural
remnants, endowed with cultural heritage particularly found in concerned town centers and
district. This chapter will also show the importance of conservation of these cultural sited for the
benefit of both residents of the towns and the local community.

Scope and limitation

The study focuses primarily on structures related to the preservation and revitalization of
historical heritage buildings through application of the concept of adaptive reuse. Relevant to the
study of adaptive reuse of historical buildings are methods on how these structures are beneficial
to the local tourism of the area on which it stands.

This study is also concern on the effects of negligence toward significant buildings both
discovered and unraveled by/in(?) history. Unfortunately, plenty have forgotten the importance of
a towns historical building and the need to preserve what was left of the heritage. Revival of
these buildings through efficient utilization of adaptive reuse can once again remind people of
the forgotten glory it contains that time unconsciously buried.

Failure of the present political leader to identify buildings that needs conservation rather
than focusing on the implementation of his propaganda is vital to the success of heritage
conservation. Lack of knowledge towards the historical significance of heritage buildings can
trigger to its demolition without consideration to objections proposed by concerned several
organizations.

As one of the major program, the cultural heritage conservation plays a significant role
on the success of each conservation program. However, the willingness to execute conservation
programs should begin with every local community and then later reflect on the countrys
totality.

The study will limit on adaptive reused building structures without acquired historical
significance, and on existing buildings, whose function never experienced adaptive reuse on its
lifetime.
