Introduction:
Archeologists have uncovered some interesting artifacts. However, archeologists search for facts.
Your mission is to uncover the truth. By the end of your journey, you will begin to understand
how the past continues to echo in our society today.
Your journey will take you to discover the birth of Islam. You will explore the ancient cultures
of Africa, the vast civilizations that developed there, the early cultural advancement of China and
the age of the samurai in Japan. In addition, you will uncover how exploration and trade, as well
as scientific discoveries and new philosophies changed the course of human history.
Discovering how each society developed through religious, scientific, philosophical, and
political breakthroughs will lead you to see how the past continues to influence us today.

address the questions in full, complete thoughts with support from the lesson are recommended.
Methods on how to do this can be found here.
o A rubric has been placed directly in the course on the discussion activity for you to
view on how you will be scored. This will also be included in the Course Announcements
o Any instances of plagiarism will be scored as a 0%, and the student may not receive
another opportunity to make up these lost points
o Inappropriate posts and responses in any online discussion forum will be deleted and, if
necessary, no credit given. The instructor reserves the right to decide the appropriateness
of a post/entry
Primavera embraces that students are afforded many basic rights. Students basic rights include
the right to a meaningful educational experience. While we strive to provide an online school
experience that fosters an online learning environment that is safe and that values students
viewpoints, opinions and unique needs and characteristics, students must also demonstrate a
commitment to honoring the rights of all members of our school system. To that end, students
must balance their right to an education with their responsibility for their actions, particularly
when their actions are inappropriate. Further details regarding the expectations and procedures at
Primavera, the Parent Student Handbook can be found here.
