Student Teaching Practicum 4th-6th Grade
o Created and implemented lesson and unit plans utilizing content standards and goals of
the Common Core and Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Social Studies that
made learning cumulative and engaging for the class of 9 students.
o Used information from Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to plan strategies for
providing accessible curriculum for students in the classroom by using visual aids,
behavior charts and a check-in system.
o Differentiated classroom instruction and modified lessons using assistive technology to
meet the needs of the individual students in the class.
o Evaluated students performance by implementing informal assessments based off my
own and their learning objectives.
o Observed Individual Education Programs (IEPs) meetings.

inclusive setting using the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core
Standards.
 o Differentiated and modified curriculum in all content areas for students with disabilities
and scaffolded the instruction for the English Language Learners.
o Communicated with Parents through emails, regarding field trip information.
o Implemented small math groups to differentiate instruction for students both under and
above grade level in mathematics.
o Evaluated students performance by completing both formal and informal assessments
throughout the semester.

Wheelock Family Theatre, Boston, MA

o Designed and implemented a theatre curriculum for a week-long vacation camp for 15
students ranging from 7-8 years old.
o Assisted the head teacher in creating a fun and engaging day for the students with a
theme for the week.
o Provided and oversaw a safe space for students during the lunch period.

Researched the creation of normalcy in speical ecuation settings in schools in Barbados.
Worked closely with edcuators and sat in on meetings in learning the ways in which
educators create this safe space for learning.

o Create and implement workshops for education students at Wheelock College to
incorporates discussion and collaboration revolving around education related topics.
o Hosted monthly "Teacher Talks, facilitating conversations and promoting a safe space to
share experiences, ask questions, and voice concerns. TLC unites all fields of education
under the belief that every child deserves an education.
