3.1 METROTREN CONDUCTORS. DESCRIPTION OF POSTS, DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIES

Train conductors are the companys representatives at all times, therefore they should

follow all the steps and established procedures that make possible and ensure a

Metrotren service. Their duties must be carried out following obediently all established

procedures, in accordance with hierarchy, fulfilling standards of security, punctuality,

comfort, cleanliness and quality of customer service. Their general duties are giving

information, solving problems, controlling tickets and verifying the normal development

of the journey. Duties before the beginning of the journey:

3.1.1 At the beginning of the day, they have to go to the HR Analysts office (if it is open)

or to the Station Masters office, wearing the companys uniform (see Appendix N1) in

order to require information about possible issues they will have to deal with.

3.1.2 They have to be at the Station Masters office duly in advance to their service and

punch in.

3.1.3 They should know the daily schedule of every service in accordance with the

itinerary assigned to them before the beginning of the journey.

3.1.4 They will check, control and certify that the Locomotive Engineer and Assistant are

impeccably dressed, wearing their uniform and badge. If not, they will inform this to the

Station Master and help to solve the problem when possible.
