Description:
Stanford Hospitals and Clinics recently underwent the successful implementation of
new clinical information systems i.e. Epic Systems. With the completion of three phases
silver, gold and platinum all patient care activities, registration, scheduling and billing are
performed using one central system.

Given this transformation of clinical processes and workflows, Stanford Hospital and Clinics
envision creating a data repository that provides analytical and strategic reporting
capabilities.

Primary purpose of this repository would be to provide feedback to physicians, enable


research and support decision making for increased revenue.

The objective of the project is to provide a BI solution for the current reporting system
on different sources using Business Objects. Data from different source systems are captured
through Data Services and targeted into SQL Server and all the Business logic is being applied
in Business Objects either in the ETL or Reporting Layer and the reports are automated along
with the security features.

Description:
Nuziveedu Seeds Pvt.Ltd was established in year 1973 by Sri M Venkatramaiah, present
chairman. Nuziveedu Seeds Pvt.Ltd, today, is a leader in R & D, production and marketing of
not only cotton hybrid seed but also the hybrid seeds of other field crops like Corn, Rice,
Sunflower, Sorghum, Pearl millet, and vegetable crops. NSL has also initiated work on
developing high yielding varieties and hybrids in Wheat and mustard.

The objective of the project is to provide a BI solution for the current reporting system on SAP
R/3 using Business Objects. Data from R3 systems & Flat files are captured through Data
Services and targeted into SQL Server and all the Business logic is being applied in Business

Description:
HDFC bank is one of the largest private banks in India. The bank has separate system for
Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO). The current ALCO reporting of HDFC Bank
undergoes several manual processes of consolidations, massaging of data to arrive at a set of
reports which is used / circulated to Finance Team, Business Heads, Treasury, ALCO
Committee and RBI. The objective of this project is to automate the process of data
massaging so as to eliminate the manual processes.

The data from different systems like Finware, Finone, UBS, Oracle, SQL Server and Flat files
etc is extracted, transformed and loaded data into Reporting data base (SQL Server 2005)
using Business objects Data Integrator based on business rules defined by customer.
Business Objects universe is created based on the subject area defined in the data mart level.
All the reports are developed using BOXI R2 Web Intelligence.
Responsibilities:
Installed and Configured the Data Integrator on ALCO UAT and ALCO Production.
Created the ALCO Staging and Data mart Schemas for UAT and Production Databases.
Developed jobs to Extract, Transform and load data from different systems like Finware,
Finone, UBS, Oracle, SQL Server and Flat files etc into reporting data mart by applying
the business rules given by the client.
Used Validation transform to flag master records containing null value in any of the
column for corrective action before the source data is loaded for the same period.
Made provision to reload the master records after making necessary changes.
Designed Rate Grid Master to automate the rate mapping logic based on the business
rules.

Description:

NSDL, the first and largest depository in India, established in August 1996 and promoted by
institutions of national stature responsible for economic development of the country has since
established a national infrastructure of international standards that handles most of the
securities held and settled in dematerialised form in the Indian capital market

The reports and ETL documents designed will be used to analyse and control the process flow
in each stage at NSDL. There are 550 reports designed for different modules like PAN, TAN,
AIR, TDS, TCS, and PAN Registration etc in NSLD. The architecture of ETL framework is
designed using Business Objects Data Integrator. Microsoft Visio is used for the data
model design. Data will be extracted from multiple source system like SQL Server 2000, DB2,
Excel files and Text files.

Responsibilities:
Understood the business requirements and designed ETL Mapping document to load
data from Source to Staging and Staging to Data Mart.
Validated data model with respect to report business rules.
Installed & configured DI 11.7.2 in Development Server (UNIX).
Prepared Test Strategy document for the ETL process.

Description:
HDFC bank is one of the largest private banks in India. This FRS system is designed to
automate the reporting requirement of the Retail Assets and Retail Liabilities. The reports
developed will be used in the strategy, tactical and operational decision making in the retail
banking division. There are 160 reports developed for retails liabilities and 120 reports have to
be developed for the retail assets. The reports are based on the performance of Account,
customer, branch, cluster, managers, products, general ledger and transactions. The
highlighted facts are average monthly balance, customer net revenue, average ticket size,
customer product holding, third party products performance and many more.

The architecture of ETL framework is designed using Business Objects Data Integrator.
Microsoft Visio is used for the data model design. SQL Server Integration Services is used
for extracting the flat files. This system contains two main components viz. FRS Data Mart
(FRSDM) and FRS Universe (FRSU). FRSDM is designed using SQL Server 2005 follows
individual star schemas for different subject areas in the system. Data is extracted from
multiple source system like SQL Server 2000, Oracle, Sybase, Excel files, DBF files and Text
files. Business Objects universes are also created based on the subject area defined in the
data mart level. All the reports are developed using BOXI R2 Web Intelligence.

Responsibilities:
Created new mappings and updated old mappings according to changes in Business
logic

The objective of this project was to migrate from Business Objects XIR2 (Windows) to
Business Objects XI R2 (Solaris). The CMS along with all user security privileges had to be
migrated. After the migration was complete, Single Sign on (SSO) was to be implemented
for user access. Performance Tuning for the migrated system was also achieved. The
existing dashboards were reviewed and the numbers of analytics were reduced.
