Hentics: ‘On Wednesday, February 8,217, significant landslide occurred at Advanced Disposal Services’ ‘Greentte Landfill, Departmen inspections conducted on Februaty 9, 13,22 and March 1, 2017 revealed te following solid waste volaions 1. "The landslide caused waste and leachate to be deposited outside the approved fined waste disposal zea in violation of 25 Pa. Code §273.301. Specifically, municipal waste landfills shall be designed, construct, maintained and operated to prevent and minimize the potential for fre, explosion of release of solid waste constituents to the ar, water or sol ofthis Commonwealth that could treaten public hath o safety, pubic welfare or the environment. 2, Upon review ofthe daly operational econ, it was found thatthe comments sections were aboent for February 7 and 8, 2017. Information obtained through interviews with Advanced Disposal Services personnel revealed there were problems with significant cracks and seting in the aetve disposi area since at leat mid-January, 2017. The cracks and seting were not noted {nthe DORS unl February 2,2017. Also, fire in the mix pit area on February 6, 2017 was not noted, Failure to document waste handling problems in the daily operational records is a violation of 25 Pa. Cole §273311(0). 3.
