Eachclasswillcontributetotheexcitingdevelopmentofouroutsideareathroughouttheterm.
Ifthereisanywaythatyoucanhelpuswiththis,eitherdirectlyorviacontactsyouhave
pleasegetintouch!

AsScientistswewilllearnaboutthewondersofelectricity,focusingoncircuitconstructionand
safetyelementsthatmustbeconsidered.Wewillalsobelearningaboutdifferenthabitatsand
howtheyareaffectedbyouractions.

AsGeographerswewillrecaptheprocessofthewatercycleandinvestigatehowriversare
formed.Wewillalsolookatthepurposeandproblemsofriversandhowtheycanchangeover
time.

AsArtistsanddesignerswewillbelinkingourscienceandgeographybylookingattheeffects
onelectricityandmanmadeproductsonnature.

AsUsersoftechnologywewillbeusingourcodingskillstocreateelectronicposterstopromote
theeffectsofpollutionandelectricityontheenvironment.Wewillalsoberesearchingideas
linkedtothisforourchallengeoutcomeandlookingatwayswecanincorporatetechnology
intothis.

Homework
AsaGoogleschool,wewillcontinuesettingourhomeworkthroughGoogle
Classroom.Ifyouarehavinganyproblemspleasevisittheletterspageofour
websitewhereanswerstoFrequentlyAskedQuestionsareposted.
Althoughcompletionofhomeworkisencourageditisoptionalandchildren
willnotbeintroubleiftheydonotcompleteit.Pleasespeaktousifyouhave
 difficultyaccessingtheinternetandwouldlikehomeworkprovidedonpaper.Childrenhavethechoiceofhanding
theirhomeworkinonpaperoronline.


Reading-Pleaseensureyourchildisreadingathomeasoftenaspossible.Pleasewriteacommentintheiryellow
readingrecordbooktoletusknowhowyourchildisgettingonwithreadingathome.Itisreallyimportantthat
yourchildbringstheirbookbagandreadingrecordbooktoschooleveryday.
Spellings-Eachchildhasbeengivenalistofwordstheyshouldknowbytheendoftheyear,theyshouldbe
practisingafeweachweek.Thesehavealsobeenpostedongoogleclassroomforanyonewhohaslostthem.
Maths-Mathswillconsistofagameoractivitythatwillsupportthechildrenintheirmathslearningforthe
followingweek,orreviewwhattheyhavecoveredinthecurrentweek.
English-Englishhomeworkwillbeamixofreading,writingandSPAGactivities.Theywillbebasedonwhatwe
havebeenlearninginclassorpreparingthechildrenforwhattheyareabouttolearn.
