Continuity, Apple Pay and SMS Relay. Sadly, many of these features will not
work on older Apple devices, like the iPhone 4, due to limitations. Worse still,
many apps now will require at least iOS 7 to run smoothly. Trying to install an
app will probably prompt a notification like this:

However, that doesnt mean you cannot get a compatible version of the app
installed. Heres how to do it. First of all, you will need to login to the App
Store through iTunes in Mac. Search for the app you would like to install. In
this case, I am trying to install the 9Gag app.
Once the app is installed, the app will be added to your Purchased history but
it wont turn up on your iPhone if you dont have it connected to your
Macbook (which is fine because keep in mind that although the app has been
installed, it needs iOS 7 to run and thus cant function on your iPhone 4).
Now, to get the latest compatible version of the app on your phone.
On your iPhone, launch the App Store and go to the Purchased page via the
Updates tab. Try installing the app. Your device will notify you that the current
version of the app requires iOS 7 or later. Then, it will offer you the option to
install a previous version that is compatible with the iPhone you are holding.
And you should now have the compatible version of the app installed and
functioning.
app is working
You can try installing other apps this way too but note that this only works
with apps that have been around since iOS 6. Only then would there be a
version built for iOS 6 aka the compatible version you can fall back on.

Google Now, the smart voice assistant from the search giant, allows you to
accomplish many tasks using nothing but your voice. You can use voice
control on your device with this application, but its limited to understanding
only a few commands.
The good news is you can use two awesome tools to extend the use of
Google Now. This means better control and more functions for you to do
custom jobs, all enabled with just your voice. If this tickles your fancy, have a
look at how you can set this up.
You will need to either Commandr or AutoVoice (just pick one), but to be able
to run either of them, you will need to get Tasker, which is a paid app.
However, you can play around with Taskers trial version for 7 days first
before deciding if you want to get it (for US$3.75). With this combo, you can
send preset messages to friends and colleagues, post a pre-defined status
update to your favorite social network amongst many other things.

Note: This tutorial was built using Commandr 3.1, AutoVoice 2.0.18 and
Tasker 4.5u1 on Android 5 (Lollipop). Its believed the steps given below will
also work for other versions of these applications.
1. Setting Up Tasker
Tasker is an application to automate tasks in Android. It is similar to
scheduled tasks makers in desktop operating systems. It can be used to
create tasks that are automatically executed as per the active profile or
situation. For example, if your phones battery drops to 15% charge (a low-
battery profile is activated), then your devices screen brightness sets to
minimum possible (a task to set brightness to zero is executed).
Open Tasker.
Choose Preferences.
Click the back button, or the cross button beside the settings button.
Go on iTunes (you will never have to go then), select your Device and check
"Use as hard drive" (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3837?
viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US ).
go in there and unhide all files go to music and drag a song you'll have to
rename it to a 4 letters word
wow, your solution is the best. It doesn't require me to download some lame
software program!
ciao
this sounds great, but I don't know what "have the driver" means,
Have a driver I guess means the driver to open the ipod as a storage unit (like
a usb memory), almost all computers do it automatically, so if you see the
"installing driver" message and a window pop ups asking what you want to do
with the device (probably called ipod) is simple:
then on the folder settings (from pc, not ipod) select "view all hidden files",
then you access the music folder and do what was posted before.
Hope I helped.

I use WinAmp for my Ipod. It is the best free software I could find. It is
compatible with all Mp3 players and Ipods and you can get music from
anywhere you want with no problems ;)

"Funny" this ...... I tried "copy to device" in windows media player yet the
music doesn't show in my Apple "I-pod nano" Then I tried it with real player,
same result , then with poddox (Dont forget to put the I pod on "Disk mode"
still it did not help me though).... same again. Then I tried it with
"CopyTransManager" and FINALLY this time I was warned that I needed to
install I tunes at least once cause it also needs some other drivers then the
ones (auto) installed when first connected to PC.
Still I am really pissed off of being PUSHED to use I tunes bah, from now on I'll
make a mission to AVOID these pushers whatever it takes.
Apple .., I-Tunes Go push some other sheep around for commercial reasons,
but not me,cause now
I'll N-E-V-E-R E-V-E-R get anything from there after this install ( and
immediately uninstall) for as long as I live. PUUUUKE.
I DONT WANT TO INSTALL SOFTWARE AND HAVE PROCESSES RUNNING JUST
TO BE ABLE TO PUT SOME MUSIC ON MY I-POD ONCE A MONTH OR SO.
