diagnostico / test actuadores / borrado errores

Ya que lo he puesto en unas respuestas recopilo todo en un nico post para que sea mas
localizable:

Dos partes, una para sacar por destellos los diagnosticos y otra para hacer un test de
actuadores elctricos y borrar memoria de errores. Al final de todo la lista de cdigos.

Para tener la luz de diagnstico o bien sacamos el cuadro y ponemos la bombilla del
chivato de avera de motor que traen algunos ya cableada si tenemos suerte (el mo la
traia)

Y sino podemos poner provisionalmente un led o bombilla exterior y verlo ahi. Este es
el diagrama de donde poner la bombilla exterior. Hay que buscar los conectores de
diagnostico (en el S4/S6 en el vano motor, lado conductor bajo la tapa del vierteaguas,
en los limpias)

(si donde pone led se pone una bombilla de 12v no hace falta la resistencia, mas facil de
hacer)
Si tenemos ya bombilla cuadro (o para el test de actuadores hay que cortocircuitar
nicamente donde pone jumper. concretamente "Ground" en el Negro y "L" en el
marrn en este otro grfico

Mas cmodo que un jumper son dos cables largos pelados en el extremo que
cortocircuitaremos (o currandonoslo poniendo entre ellos un interruptor). AS podremos
verlo sentaditos en el asiento si tenemos la bombilla del cuadro

Una nota final: esto solo saca y borrar errores de la unidad de motor. No nos da los del
clima (que se hacen desde el truco del clima), ni borra los del clima o error del ABS o
Airbag por ejemplo, que o bien se guardan en memorias temporales de la propia unidad
como el del ABS o el clima o que en el peor de los casos necesitan mquina para
borrarse (Airbag).

PARA SACAR LOS CODIGOS DE DIAGNSTICO

Los cdigos se lanzan cortocircuitando 4 segundos el jumper wire, o los dos cables
largos que comento, estando el contacto dado (da igual el motor en marcha o no).
Entonces nos muestra por destellos el primer codigo de error en este formato:

x destellos - pausa de 2'5segundos


x destellos - pausa de 2'5segundos
x destellos - pausa de 2'5segundos
x destellos - pausa de 2'5segundos
<pausa y vuelve a empezar a dar el mismo cdigo>

ejem... 2 destellos <2'5s> 1 destello <2'5s> 1 destello <2'5s> 1 destello sera el 2111
Lo apuntamos y hacemos otro cortocircuito de 4 segundos para el siguiente cdigo.

As hasta que nos de el 0000 (nada). Cancelamos el test quitando el contacto. No se


borran los errores haciendo esto, se podran borrar haciendo el test de actuadores que he
puesto mas arriba.

PARA LANZAR EL TEST DE ACTUADORES Y BORRAR LA LISTA DE ERRORES
ALMACENADA

Con el contacto apagado ponemos los cables y los cortocircuitamos.

Ponemos el contacto pero NO arrancamos el motor

Separamos los cables y el sistema queda preparado para la prueba (si tenemos luz de
avera de motor empieza a lanzar ahora cdigos de error)

Para iniciar cada test con la mano abrimos y cerramos la mariposa del acelerador:
Entonces mandara una seal de prueba a:

1- inyectores del 1-2-4-5-3 , con cada apertura-cierre de la mariposa pasa al siguiente


inyector. Cada inyector hace 5 clicks que se pueden oir o tocar

Una apertura y cierre y pasa a:

2 - estabilizadora de ralent

Aqui tenemos que cortocicuitar durante 4 segundos y luego soltar los cables:

3 - canister

cortocircuito de 4 segundos

4 - N75

FIN DE TEST.

OJO!! Si no queremos borrar la lista de errores (porque no la hemos apuntado o


queremos que nos lo vea nuestro mecnico) hay que parar aqui y quitar el contacto. Si
hacemos un corto de 4 segundos mas:

5 - BORRADO DE MEMORIA DE ERRORES alguien esta en limp mode?

Para volver a hacer los test hay que quitar el contacto 20 segundos. OJO! los inyectores
no se volvern a probar si no se pone el motor en marcha al menos una vez entre prueba
y prueba.

LISTADO DE ERRORES

Finalmente en perfecto ingles el listado de cdigos que tena guardados, aunque pone
para AAN yo creo que servirn:

El codigo, la descripccin y una pequea explicacin del sntoma (bastante orientativa).


Para quien no haya probado el error 2111 sale siempre si tenemos el motor parado (los
diagnsticos no son como el test de actuadores, ya que se pueden hacer en marcha)

Engine Control Unit (ECU) Defective memory circuits,
Incorrect Checksum for internal memory (EPROMs)
(this can occur on some modified ECU's) Check ECU ground connections, Check
EPROM programming
Symptom: Check engine light may come on

# 1231 (Blink Fault Code), 00281 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number (S4/S6 with AAN
engine Only)
Vehicle Speed Sensor (G68),
Open circuit or short circuit, speed sensor malfunctioning
Symptom: A/C compressor does not shut off during wide open throttle in 1st gear

RPM sensor (G28)
Open or short circuit, sensor malfunction
Defective sensor & cables, metal fragments on flywheel teeth
Symptom: Engine will not start, misfires, may stop running
NOTE: I have seen this fault code occur after cranking the engine during a no start
condition
in a few rare cases where there was nothing wrong with the RPM sensor
# 2112 (Blink Fault Code), 00514 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
Timing reference sensor, (G4) (located 62 degrees BTDC)
Sensor malfunction, Flywheel pin damaged/missing, Mis-located Sensor,
distance to flywheel pin greater than 1.2mm (3/64 inch), wiring shielding problem for
G4,
hall sensor out of adjustment (3B and early AAN engines only)
Symptom: Engine will not start, possible low power
NOTE: I have seen this fault code occur after cranking the engine during a no start
condition
in a few rare cases where there was nothing wrong with the Reference sensor or
flywheel pin
# 2113 (Blink Fault Code), 00515 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
(G40) Hall sensor in distributor
(3B, early AAN engines) or camshaft position Hall Effect sensor later S4/S6 AAN
engine).
Distributor alignment, faulty sender, Mis-located sensor & distributor, Cam timing
possibly incorrect on AAN engine, Check lower Crankshaft Gear keyway
Symptom: Engine will not start, power loss, check engine light may come on during
driving above certain RPM

Idle switch problem

Knock sensor #2, (Cylinders 3, 4, 5)

Knock Sensor #2, (G66) (Cylinders 3, 4, 5)
Open or short circuit, Defective sensor or wiring

Throttle potentiometer,
short circuit to + or to ground,moisture or corrosion in harness connector
Check throttle potentiometer resistance from idle to full throttle.
Symptom: Lack of power or boost pressure is not attained

Engine Over-revved

Engine noises, Open circuit in knock sensor shielding (G61)
Symptom: low boost, Moderate power loss, higher fuel consumption, top speed not
attainable

Coolant sensor (G62)
Open or short circuit, Defective sensor or wiring, high resistance between sensor G62

to accelerate

Oxygen Sensor Control Limit exceeded,

overly rich exhaust, Spark Plug fouling

Oxygen Sensor (G39)
Sensor Wiring or Sensor defective Heat resistor in sensor defective, Signal wiring

connection at intake manifold.
Symptom: Emissions not within specifications, increased fuel consumption, rich
exhaust, spark plug fouling,
Carbon Monoxide (CO) percentage above 3%,

Mixture Adjustment,
Adaptation limit exceeded, Adaptation limit not reached, Leakage in exhaust system

plugs, ignition coil(s), or Ignition Coil Power output stage malfunctioning
Symptom: Rich mixture, increased fuel consumption
