Legend :
a. Witness Point (W) - The Contractor shall advise the Site Engineer, a reasonable time - minimum of 24 hours, in advance of the operation to ensure the Site Engineer may be able to attend the required witness point. The Contractor may proceed
with work beyond such witness points in case the Site Engineer / Resident Engineer (RE) can not turn up for the inspection at the specified time.
b. Hold Point (H) - The Contractor is shall advise the Site Engineer/Resident Engineer, a reasonable time minimum of 24 hours, in advance of the operation that an item must be visually examined, tested, or measured by the Site Engineer to verify
conformance to quality requirements. The Contractor shall not proceed with the work beyond such hold points, except by written agreement from the responsible Resident Engineer.
c. Surveillance (S) - In process monitoring of Contractors activities to the degree necessary that confidence is gained that the work processes /methods are in compliance with established criteria.
d. Review (R) - Reviews of the Inspection and Testing records recorded by the Contractor and by the Engineer for correctness and completeness.
