Faculty Performance Appraisal & Development system

Faculty Performance Appraisal & Development system is system to quantify the performance of
faculty members.

The performance measurement criteria is categorised into three:

Category I: Teaching, Learning and Evaluation related activities

Category II: Co-Curricular, Extension and Professional Development related activities

Category III: Research and Academic Contributions

1. Facultys performance of teaching learning and evaluation related activities are defined as categoryI.
It consists of:
i)Facultys performance of lectures, seminars,tutorials, practicals(Max marks-60)
ii) Imparting knowledge/instruction as per curriculum with the prescribed material(Text
book/Manual etc.), syllabus enrichment by providing additional resources to students(Max
marks-20)
iii) Use of participatory and innovative teaching- learning methodologies; updating of subject
content,course improvement etc.(Max marks-50)
iv) Examination related works(Max Marks-25)
2. Facultys performance of Co-curricular, extension and professional development related
activities are defined as category II.
It consists of Facultys:
i) Extension and Co-curricular, Extension and Professional Development Related Activities
(Max marks-40)
ii) Contribution to corporate life and management of the Institution (Max marks-50)
iii) Professional development related activities (Max marks-50)
3. Facultys Research and Academic Contributions are defined as category III.
It consists of Facultys:
i) Research papers (Published in Journals), Research Publications (Max marks-153)
ii) Research projects- Sponsored projects and Consultancy projects(Max marks-55)
iii) Completed projects quality evaluation and project outcome/outputs (Max marks-95)
iv) Research Guidance (Max marks-45)
v) Training courses and Conference/ Seminar/ Workshop Papers attended (Max marks-52)
