ACADEMICS
+/- Weekend
Retreat
To design a weekend retreat for a family of
four. The challenge was to design a small
house on a site with 30 degree slope with a
view of a valley.

The design was supposed to be exible in

terms of usage as per the requirement of the
user. Keeping this idea as the backbone, the
living room transforms into Master Bedroom
during the night and the dinning transforms
into childrens’ bedroom.

The balcony is positioned according to the

wind direction with a pleasing view of the
valley below.
3 Star Business
Hotel
Designing a 3 star business hotel in
Belapur CBD, Navi Mumbai. The
objective was to build a commercial space
which is disconnects the city hustle bustle
and has a pleasing waterfront view.
As it was a commercial building, form was
an important factor in design aspects.

The form is achieved by slicing a cuboid

from three sides at random angles,
keeping the central core intact which
provided services at all levels.
Art
Gallery
To design an Art Gallery in the
Central Park, Kharghar, the form
came out as two rectangular
blocks intersecting each other, of
which, one was inclined at an angle
of 30 degrees. The service core is
centrally located servicing both the
blocks on alternate oors.
Installation at
KalaGhoda Art Festival
The design was a proposal for a housing scheme of
different classes and different carpet areas per unit. This
proposal is located in the MIDC area of Taloja, Navi
Mumbai. The idea was to break from the monstrous high Urban Housing
rises and add spacial terraces between intermediate
oors. Scheme
The housing units are divided into 4 categories as per their
built up areas; Type A, Type B, Type C and Type D.
Type A and B are high rise building with pocket terraces
while Type C are row houses and Type D have a community
living space which are more likely compared to chawls.

Every Typology have a hierarchy of terraces and open

spaces which eventually meet in the central garden.
