ABSTRACT
PARTICIPATORY METHODOLOGIES IN RESEARCH ON SOCIAL VIOLA-
TIONS: BETWEEN THE TECHNICAL AND ETHICAL
Through this poster it is to problematize the tension between the
methodological and ethical issues in research on social violations.
From a research project UBACyT Programming 2014-2017, with
overall objective to investigate the processes of identity construc-
tion and the paths of life in people living on the streets in the City
of Buenos Aires, the mode is displayed on why certain techniques
facilitate shorten the distances between researchers and subject-
object of knowledge. Following Surez- Krabbe (2011), it is part
of the idea of unlearning own theories and ideas of scientism to
generate other with participants, recognizing their visions and
knowledge, so go learning them and adapting them to scientiic
work and vice versa. In this regard and in the context of a relection
device with people in street situations arising at the initiative of the
participants themselves, mapping and participatory photographs
were implemented. These techniques facilitated the construction
of narratives about their daily lives, systematization and sharing of
everyday experiences, strengthening liberating practices and re-
lection on mechanisms for standardization as policy assistance to
people on the street.
