Two unique components this structure, resting in

the Union Bay Natural Area, provides are accessible
viewsof the ground, water, and skyand transi-
tions into and out of these spaces. The view of the
ground, reachable by a staircase leading under-
ground, is a historical one. It shows the different
layers of ground that have built up over timesol-
id rocks, peat, garbage, and dirt. The best view of
the water can be accessed by walking across a
platform into the water itself and can be viewed
from different heights along the long staircase
leading up the side of the platform. The view of the
sky is made accessible by a patio-like structure on
the roof. This space combines the idea of structure,
with its folded framework, and openness to various
views through its otherwise airy form.
