INTRODUCTION

Anytime anyone is about to have a baby the first question is "Is it a

boy or a girl?.
People ask this question because there is a difference between the
two genders.
Everyone knows there is a difference but no one ever stops to see
how many there truly are.
We usually become angry or frustrated with the opposite sex
because we have forgotten this important truth.
We expect the opposite sex to be more like ourselves. We desire
them to "want what we want" and "feel the way we feel.
We have forgotten that men and women are supposed to be
different.
As a result, our relationships are filled with unnecessary friction and
conflict.
When you remember that men are from Mars and women are from
Venus, everything can be explained.

BRAIN STRUCTURE

For a long time there has been considerable scientific interest in

studying differences between men and women especially because
their brains are different.
Typically, mens brains are 11-12% bigger than womens brains.
This size difference has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence,
but because men need more neurons to control their greater muscle
mass and larger body size, thus they have a larger brain.
Men tend to process better in the left hemisphere of the brain while
women can process equally well between the two hemispheres.
This finding supports the observation that men rely easily and on
their left brain to solve one problem at one time.
On the other hand, women can focus on more than one problem and
frequently multitasking.
COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE

When the Martians and Venusians got together, they encountered

many problems especially in communicating with each other.
Their expressions were similar, but they had different emotional
emphasis.
You can see how a "literal" translation of a woman's words could
easily mislead a man who only used facts and information to convey
message.
One of the biggest challenge for men is to correctly interpret a
woman when she is talking about her feelings while woman find it
hard to interpret a man when he isn't talking.
Silence is most easily misinterpreted by woman and she may begin
to imagine the very worst -"He hates me, he doesn't love me, he is
leaving me."
No wonder women become insecure when a man suddenly becomes
quiet!
As you can see, more than half the women said lack of
communication contributed to the broken marriage, while 48.9 per
cent of men said so.
This shows that communication is one of the important key to a
success marriage life.

COPING WITH STRESS

Martians and Venusians have different ways of coping with stress.

When a Martian gets upset, he never talks about what is bothering
him.
He would never burden another Martian unless their assistance was
necessary to solve the problems.
Instead, he becomes very quiet and goes to his private cave to think
about his problems.
If he can't find a solution, then he does something to forget his
problems, like playing games or sports.
When a Venusian becomes stressed, she will seeks out someone she
trusts and then talks about her problems to find relief.
When Venusians share feelings, they suddenly feel better.
CONCLUSION

As a conclusion, these differences found in men and women help me

understand why relationships are complicated, and why is it
important to learn and accept these differences.
We should understand that we perceive things different and there
are things that we can do to improve the relationship as a human
being.
Everything is part of understanding each other and be mature in the
relationship as to make changes for the benefit of both.
