Topic: Art and the ExpressionistMovement
Expressionism and its existentialist themes are two of the
largest inspirations for my own work. The subjective
perspective, focus on the modern world's discordant
relationship with authenticity and spirituality, and
evocation of emotion through color and distortion are

HISTORY the early 19th century and in part a
response against the Impressionists, the
classic phase of Expressionism lasted
from 1905-1920.
It emerged simultaneously in various

after WW1.
Movement included art, poetry, literature,
and the then fledgling medium, cinema.
