5.3 If stabilizers are used, the pneumatic support arms are extended to their maximum
length.
5.4 The Rotor is locked by applying the brakes first and then adding the lock bolts.
5.5 The electrical equipment locking system is used to lock Q8 or FG8, according to
GD008414.
5.5 If a wireless intercom system cannot be used, the supervisor, crew and crane operator
should know maneuver signal codes.
5.6 The crane basket is on the ground when the operator is entering or leaving it.
5.7 Appropriate protective equipment is used.
12.5 Personnel stand on the side of the balluf next to the TOP when changing the sensor so
as to avoid getting hit due to a rough forward movement.

13.5 Pressure is released using the wingnuts provided in the Hydraulic Assembly.
18.2 The load holding tools used to lower the rotor are checked, confirming that they are in
good condition.
24.4 Pressure is released from the Hydraulic Assembly using the wingnuts.
24.5 The zone is marked, prohibiting access to the work area in which the suspended load
could fall.
24.6 Before removing the roof, the personnel strap themselves to a fixed point.
25.1 The windspeed limit of 15 m/sec for the G4X-G5X or 12 m/sec for the G8X-90 is
respected when performing these jobs.
25.2 The zone is marked, prohibiting access to the work area in which the suspended load
could fall.

25.5 The load holding tools used to lower the rotor are checked, confirming that they are in
good condition.
26.3 The Lock System is used to lock electrical equipment according to GD008414.
26.4 When any maintenance work is needed that requires immobilizing any movable part of
the machinery, the Rotor is locked by first applying the brakes and then placing the lock
bolts.
26.5 When taking off the reduction gear head a multimeter is used to confirm that power is off.
27.4 When any maintenance work is needed that requires immobilizing any movable part of
the machinery, the Rotor is locked by first applying the brakes and then placing the lock
bolts.
27.5 The Cardan shaft housing is added before starting up the wind turbine.
27.6 This work can only be done by qualified personnel or personnel that are otherwise
authorized.
27.8 A multimeter is used, and dielectric gloves, to check whether power is on.
27.9 Nitrile gloves, a mask with a filter for organic gas and particulates, and an integrated
screen are used.
28.3 During the locking operation, the bolt is inserted when the rotor is completely stopped.
31 General Operations:
31.1 Before powering up for the first time, work specifications are thoroughly followed,
"ELECTRICAL CHECKS PRIOR TO POWERING UP."
31.2 It is prohibited to remain in the tower during the first power-up test (sending electricity
from the substation and confirming that the switchgear handle does not trip).
31.3 Working in the machine is not permitted width winds in excess of 20 m/s and access to
the machine is limited to 25 m/s when rearming equipment, etc.
31.4 When mechanically handling switchgears or when confirming the phase sequence
during power up, the required PPEs are used (insolating stools or mats, dielectric gloves
and face shield).
31.5 For cone operations the nacelle is first positioned at 90 according to wind direction, the
locking pins are used to lock the rotor and any operation is limited to 15 m/s for G5X
machines and to 12 m/s for G8X machines.
31.6 Before getting inside the nose cone to do work that requires staying on the inside with
the pitch set back to 5, insert the safety Shafts from the outside using the extensions.
31.7 In order to prevent possible entrapments, hanging jewelry, long hair not put up, loose
clothing, etc. is not permitted when checking the transmission system (greasing the yaw
bearing), checking the pinion bearing set, or greasing the yaw teeth.
31.8 Before greasing the bearings while the machine is rotating at "X" revolutions, make sure
that the Cardan shaft's protective housing is in place.
31.9 To check the pitch system, confirm that the machine is locked and that all operators stay
far away from the emergency stops.
31.10 To grease the drivesham (Cardan sham) joints, the rotor is locked before the protective
housing is removed.
31.11 When checking the wind vane and anemometer from the outside of the nacelle or
verifying that the fiberglass is protected, it is necessary to use a safety harness strapped
in to the two bars on the upper part of the nacelle.
31.12 The brake revision must be done with the machine stopped and the rotor locked when it
is necessary to work on the mechanical system.
31.13 The overspeed test must be performed from the base of the tower and never from
nacelle.
31.14 To begin the capacitor inspection, confirm that voltage has been drained from the
capacitors and that ten minutes have passed since this was done in order to alleviate the
consequences of possibly making direct contact with the accumulated voltage.
31.15 Before starting up the machine, make sure that the capacitor cabinet door is closed, in
order to reduce the consequences of a possible blast of electric energy.
31.16 Upon checking the rubber components or tightening the terminals in the generator
terminal box, the machine is checked to ensure it is locked and the power supply to the
rotor is disconnected (before handling the generator terminal block, check with a
multimeter to make sure that power is shut off).
