frogs,fish,andburblingwaters.Outside,bullrushesandcattailswaveintheHudsonValleybreeze.Eachyear,more
than20,000peopletraveltotheOmegaInstituteforHolisticStudiesforyogaretreats,wellnessworkshops,and
conferencesonhowtolivesimpler,cleaner,better.

Andeachyear,theystopintheirtracks,stunnedtolearnthatthoselushgardensareactuallysewagetreatment
plantsatwork.AtOmega,plants,animals,andmicroorganismsannuallytransform5milliongallonsofhuman
feces,urine,andotherwasteintowaterratedpureenoughtodrink(thoughOmegausesitforirrigation).
