 Overview
With the development of enterprises and their business , they are finding that the existing IT platforms simply do
not have the flexibility and capabilities they need. No-where is this more apparent than on the desktop. Employees
personal devices have evolved and become more sophisticated, but their computers for the office have not evolved.
Not only is it expensive, inefficient, not green, and a constant source of security challenges, but it constrains users to
be at their desk to get their work done. Adopting a new desktop model offers companies realized opportunities to
reduce cost, mitigate environmental impacts, improve management efficiency, increase security and reliability and,
most importantly, to allow employee to work anytime, anywhere and any device, substantially improve employee
productivity.
Huawei Desktop Cloud
The Huawei Desktop Cloud solution focuses on solving the challenges of the traditional PC model, such as work
efficiency, the complexity of operation and maintenance and information security. This solution virtualizes and
centralizes the computing and storage resources (including CPU, hard drive, and memory) of PCs into the data center,
creating a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). With VDI, end users can access their own "virtual PCs" using thin clients
(TCs), personal computers and mobile devices, while still allowing the enterprise to maintain information security
and high service reliability. Huawei Desktop Cloud solution is an end-to-end VDI solution which includes thin client,
hardware, software, consultation, integration and design services.

Huawei desktop cloud is designed to provide an end-to-end (E2E) security solution, covering device access, the
transmission network, and storage of data. Huawei Desktop Cloud security includes:
No local-storage for desktop devices and external storage devices using USB ports can be completely managed.
Huawei thin clients use an embedded SSH mechanism to ensure transmission security.
Uniform user authentication mechanism, using a dynamic digital certificate to authenticate users.
Different groups are completely isolated from each other by network isolation throughout the cloud.
Security Tools Integration provides additional security and control for end-user computing, such as Huawei
Symantec security solutions, including Secospace Document Security Management (DSM) and Secospace Terminal
Security Management (TSM).
With Desktop Cloud, all critical components are in the data center with power backups and built-in redundancy,
so single power or equipment failures cannot damage information. In addition, operations can be quickly restored
from other desktops, including mobile devices, creating effective Disaster Recovery solutions. Compared with PC, the
downtime in one year of Desktop Cloud can be reduced to 3 minutes, and reliability is improved to be 99.999%.
