The M&E framework outlines the inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes and impacts of a project, thus giving us the guidelines throughout the
project life cycle.
Project Background and baseline Survey
Binga is a vast, remote, inaccessible district in Northern Zimbabwe and has also proven to be a malaria hotspot. More malaria cases from Binga
are largely due to intermittent rains experienced in the district. Mosquitoes breed and mature faster in such weather conditions. After carrying
out a baseline survey it was discovered that Clinics and Hospitals in Binga recorded 90% of Matabeleland Souths Malaria cases during the 2013
rainy season. This translates to 4500 recorded cases of Malaria which resulted in 14 fatalities.
