Reflective essay

Life is full of many challenging opportunities. The opportunity to take English 1301

during the summer is challenging, but positively effective. Finishing a whole semester in a

month is one of many benefits of composition one; even though it regards the same amount of

assignments of a six month semester. There are three major essays, three short answer response,

many little professionalism grades, and a final portfolio. All of which have helped me improve

my English writhing .Composition one was a new challenging course, where I learned new types

of righting, very helpful skills for my future papers, and it pointed out areas where I need to

improve.

During this last month I learned new skills that helped me improve my writhing and

strengthen areas where I needed help in. A new skill that became really helpful was the bubble

map. It helped me order my ideas to and find key points for my thesis statement. Also strong

transition words were new and helpful to make my papers flow better. There were many other

new things that I learned; however there were weak areas that got stronger during this course.

My citations were nothing near to correct at the beginning of the semester. Therefore by revising

notes and examples given by the professor, I was able to correct many mistakes from the works

cited. MLA was introduced to me previously but I did not have it one hundred percent correct.

After spending a couple of days going over MLA eight format I was able to get better in

formatting my papers in the correct format. ENLG 1301 has over all has taught me many things

and corrected areas where I have needed help; leaving less areas for me to improve.

After having many improved areas in my writhing still have other areas which I have to

develop. Grammar is still a problem I have to fix. Some punctuation is also lacking; making my

papers sometimes display the facts or ideas ineffectively. I plan to improve these areas by asking

for help in my future English classes, or by simply writhing papers more often and revising them

with teachers or professors. Hoping that it will help me improve areas in my papers.

As I stated before English 1301 is challenging, and the three major essays are the main

assignments but they differ from each other; some were hard essays to wright, others were

simple and others were more of learning assignments. The hardest essay that I had to wright was

the report. It was the most difficult because it is an essay that contains two sides full of facts.

However your writhing can not incline to support one of the sides or opposing either side. It was

a new type of writing that I was not used to that is the reason why it seemed difficult. I liked the

review essay better because it was shorter and not the first time I wright a review essay.

Analyzing the picture was the one i learned the most from because it was a new type of writhing.

Description made it a little more challenging but more enjoyable. I learned how to analyze a

picture in detail something I did not know how to do before. I have learned allot during this

month which can help me in the future.

After this moth I have learned skills that will help me in my future education and career.

My education has not ended which means that I will be required to wright more essays. This

class has showed me three major types of writhing that I can use in my future education and

career, and the other assignments have given me lessons how to improve my writhing in general.

Writhing that I will use in my future life.

After all composition one was an effective way to improve my English. It has been a

challenging month but worth it. English 1301 has showed me different types of writhing that

have improved some writing skills ,and showing me other skills that I still need to improve; all of

which has helped me tremendously now and in my future. Thanks to this course and my

professor, I have improved in my English overall; assuring a better education.
