Removing ( Refitting )

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

Move the load carrying compartment lining away from the work area.

1. Undo the rear bolts fixing the rear seat cushion.

1. Undo the front bolts fixing the rear seat cushion.

2. Remove the rear seat cushion.

1. Remove the submerged pump protective cover.

2. Disconnect the rapid connector (2a) for the fuel supply pipe and
disconnect the electrical connection (2b) for the submerged pump.

1. Position the tool (1a) and undo the ring nut (1b) fastening the
submerged pump to the tank.

2. Release the submerged pump complete with level gauge and remove
it.

Keep the gasket.

Refitting ( Removing )

Place the submerged pump in position complete with level gauge.

Take care to ensure that the fitting reference on the submerged


pump coincides with the one on the tank so that the pump is fitted
in the correct position.

Fit the gasket.

Tighten the ring nut fastening the submerged pump using the
appropriate tool.

Connect the electrical connection to the pump.

Connect the fuel pipe rapid connector to the pump.

Fit the submerged pump protective cover.

Place the rear seat cushion in position and tighten the fixing bolts to the
recommended torque.
