Summary of Professional Experience


Henson Venn is a Masters degree holder in International development with eight years of
experience working with International Non-Governmental Organizations (Catholic Relief
Services, Save the Children International, Care International, and World Vision
International). His experience expands across many sectors including, humanitarian
emergency response, monitoring and evaluation, value chain, relief and development
programs, food security and livelihoods especially food and cash based programming,
project and team management, humanitarian accountability, coordination and capacity
building. He has seven (7) practical years of experience including four (4) years
international experience in Central African Republic, Liberia and Haiti in developing and
managing Monitoring and Evaluation systems for different emergency contexts,
designing and interpreting monitoring tools to capture project indicators, conducting end
of project evaluations and capacity building of project M&E and partner staffs. Henson
has eight years of donor reporting experience including USAID, European Union and the
United Nations World Food Program (WFP)

Henson Venn has a successful record of establishing appropriate complaint and response
mechanisms to improve community participation and involvement in project
implementation. He is skilled in qualitative and quantitative M&E methodologies and
data management, log frames and M&E plan development for multiple programs.
Additionally, he has conducted several baseline, mid line and impact assessment surveys
and he is a specialist in managing mobile data collection tools including Open Data Kits,
SPSS, iformbuilder, commcare and other data analysis software programs. Henson has
served in different coordination, supervisory and management roles across several
monitoring and evaluation departments and has provided leadership in establishing M&E
systems in difficult and complex contexts with the technical knowledge required.

Vision Sierra Leone.
