Configuring PEHVAC

1. Start File Manager/Explorer.


2. Create a PEHVAC project directory c:\pehvac.
3. Copy the Peh.cmd from win32app\ingr\pehvac to c:\pds
4. Copy the Projlist.txt file from win32app\ingr\pehvac\support to your
project directory c:\pehvac

5. Edit and Modify Projlist.txt in the following format:


project name node project directory pds project
hv_project local_machine_name c: \demo\hvac\hv_project pds
train_proj 3ad11 c: \Pehvac\train_proj pds

6. Copy envar.txt file from c:\win32app\ingr\pehvac\support\envar.txt


to c: \Pehvac\train_proj
7. Edit the envar.txt to point the variables to the desired locations.
(Change mynode to server or client name).

8. Create prj_ train_proj and hrf_ train_proj ORACLE users.

9. Creating A Project: Start BDM > PArnu select create create project form
open and Create project train_proj

10. Start Parnu. Pick Database > Create project schema prj_
train_proj . After the schema is created pick Pehvac under
Applications to load Pehvac tables.

11. Specify the location of the HVAC control file. Click Start > All Programs >
HVAC Modeling > PEHVAC Configure. In the PEHVAC Control File field, specify
the location of the peh.cmd file.

12. Start HVAC Modeling>Pick Pehvac under application. Pick project


name and OKAY.
13. Select project name from PEHVAC Project Selection Form /
OKAY.

14. For Reference schema Select DATABASE > CREATE.

15. Enter data for the hrf_train_proj schema.


16. Enter LOAD/UNLOAD to load your specs.

17. Select CREATE enter model name / description / plot scale. In the
Project Environment dialog box, select PE-HVAC. In the Create Design File
dialog box, specify the settings for your design file. Set the units for the design
file. In the Project Environment dialog box, select PE-HVAC > Enter Design File.
Select a design file and click OK. In the graphical environment, click Settings >
Design File. Change the MU: SU: PU settings to match the settings of the PDS
project (1:12:2032 for English projects or 1:1000:80 for metric projects).
