1.0 Preface

1.1 Purpose of this Document


The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive document that:
Describes about procedure to change the job submission time in HHMM format
Easy to find, read, and understand.

1.2 Who Should Use this Document


This document should be used by the steady state Operators within the Command Center (and
their back-up).

2.0 Control M

2.1 Overview
This document provides the technical details about changing the job submission time in
Control M Enterprise Manager. .

2.2 CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager


CONTROL M is an interoperable solution for the integration of production control from
a focal point of management across diverse environments. CONTROL-M/Enterprise
Manager is used to automate the scheduling and processing of the production jobs

Functional Approach:

CONTROL-M automates job processing in your data center.

1) It performs virtually all the job handling tasks of computer operators.

2) It provides an interface that enables the user to intervene in the process of production
management.

3) It provides continual data and status information regarding job processing.

3.0 Procedure to Submit Job submission time

3.2 Request to change the execution time


If we try to run any job in Control M enterprise manager for which the execution time is passed
away we get the error stating that Job is out of time window , see the screenshot below

In these scenarios we can change the job submit time for the job under Execution tab
.This is explained by taking an email request as example below

If we get any request to change the execution time for a specific job to run at a time as
mentioned below screenshot the steps to be followed are

Step1: As mentioned in the request we need to find for the job in the tree as shown below

If we right click on the job we found which is in Grey color (Waiting for condition) we
can see why the job is waiting by clicking on Why? Option

This shows that the job is waiting for execution time parameter as shown below

Step 2: As the it is showing that the job is out of time window we need to change the
execution time which under the execution tab as shown in below screenshot

Step3: Once the time is changed to the mentioned time in request in the above shown
window the job will start running once the condition is met

We can reply to the requestor that the request is completed.
