REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
Queries

1. Do we have Central Lighting Control system in Back of House Area? If yes, please clarify how it
operates.
2. Normal Luminaires in Back of House area need to have DALI Modules? Especially in such areas
where manual Light Switches are used? (See attachment page # 1 & 2). Please elaborate the
purpose of having same.
3. Presence Detectors will operate both Emergency & Normal Luminaires? (See attachment Page # 2,
cloud-2). Please clarify the sequence of operation during normal and emergency conditions.
4. It seems that Emergency Luminaires will act as normal lights in normal condition, if it is so then
how they will be switch ON in case of emergency if we use normal switches? (see attachment page
# 3)
5. Light switches & Presence Detectors are used for Emergency Lights, Is it acceptable as per NFPA
code? There shouldnt be any intermediate control between CBS and Emergency lighting as per
NFPA.
6. In corridors and some other rooms, only Presence Detectors are used for switching. So, the Normal
lights, beside Emergency Lights, will be controlled by PDs as well? (see attachment Page # 2, cloud-
2)
7. How are the normal lights in corridor being operated since there is not switch provided for that?
8. It is observed that some circuits feed Lights in more than one room so Presence Detectors in those
rooms will only require to switch ON/OFF the required Light only, not all the circuit through
Contactor. (see attachment Page # 3).
