Abstract

The paper presents results of research
, supported by RSCF grant 14-18-01405.
The evolution of actant marking in
. Balkan Slavic, finalized in loss of case as
a category, is explained by replication of
Romance grammatical patterns in
. symbiotic Slavic-Romance ethnic
communities. Striking parallels in
differential object marking in dialects of
Macedonian and Aromanian are provided
. in support of the main hypothesis.
