WHERE ARE YOUR ACCUSERS?

Text: John 8:3-11. When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where
are those thine accusers? I have good news for you this morning, if you are under the weight of any judgment or sin,
today is your day of freedom in Jesus Name. The devil (the accuser of the brethren) is ever seeking for a way to break
our fellowship with God.
What does it mean to accuse? To accuse is to charge someone with shortcoming or error; and who is an accuser? An
accuser is a person who accuses in the court of law; their mission is to ensure the punishment of the accused at all
costs. They wait for punishment and judgment to be passed on their victim.
From our above text, a certain woman was the accused; she was brought to Jesus for punishment. Her accusers were so
sure she wouldnt escape judgment, but because we serve a God of Love Who is Ever Merciful in all His ways, the
accused was set free to the shame of the accusers.
In addition, Jesus was the primary target of the accusers, - John 8:6 this they said, tempting Him, which they might
have to accuse him. John 8:6. The accusers were only using the woman as bait to accuse Jesus. If Jesus could be
falsely accused, how much more you? I pray that on this lovers day, God will fight for you!

3. While the accusers were busy bringing their accusations, Jesus was busy writing on the ground, most probably
writing that she is loved and will be changed for His Glory.
4. What happened to her accusers? They all left bowing their heads in shame and disgrace. God will disgrace all your
accusers in Jesus Name.
5. The love of God eventually set her free. I pray that God will vindicate you from all accusations in Jesus Name. Rom.
8:31

Wherever there is love there is mercy. Prov. 10:12b tells us that love covers a multitude of sin. Love and mercy go
hand in hand. Love overlooks so many things while Mercy exonerates people from obvious errors.

Jesus loves you so much. John 15:9
God wants you to love your neighbor; not to work against them. 1 John 4:11. If God could love you in your
filthiness, no reason is strong enough to hate your neighbor. Today, we have many husbands and wives living together
but yet have no love for one another.
God wants you to love Him. You cannot continue in sin if you love God. Rom. 6:1, John 14:15, 15:14
