This thesis examines the iso-safety design of flat slabs according to Eurocode 2. It develops design charts for the flexural design of flat slabs at predefined reliability levels. Constitutive models for concrete and steel are selected based on Eurocode 2 requirements. Limit state functions are derived for flexure, punching shear, and deflection. Reliability analysis using the First Order Reliability Method is used to generate iso-safety design charts targeting safety indices of 3.3, 3.8, and 4.3 as recommended by Eurocode 0. A flat slab is then designed using the charts to compare reinforcement requirements to a Eurocode 2 design. Sensitivity analysis examines the effects on other limit states like punching
