Vicki Taylor, age 54, passed
away on Monday, July 3,
Day in the Life 2017 at her home in Idabel,
Ok. She was born on
October 14, 1962 in
Springer, N.M.

The simplicity of life yesteryear

Vicki was a 1980 graduate
of Write City High School.
She worked at Texarkana
Eye Associates in Idabel.
She enjoyed spending time
with family and friends.

D
uring the month of July,
I can remember waking
up to the rush of the
waves off the Atlantic
Ocean and my dad cutting grass
right outside my window.
Between the noise coming
from the irritating songs of the
Carolina chickadee and my niece
forcing my eyes open to watch
Barney for the umpteenth time, I
never did quite make it to sleep-
ing in until noon, but still, life
back then was less worrisome,
less stressful, with no troubles

I had nowhere to be, nothing to
do and everything to get into, as
I was the last child to leave the
nest.
I can remember watching
countless hours of cartoons,
wolfing down oatmeal pies and
peanut butter sandwiches and
taking long naps on my trampo-
line thats if I wasnt too busy
catching tadpoles down at the
creek or if my dad didnt need me
to run down to Old Man Tutens
store for something he seemed to
have misplaced.
Fast forward 15 years later,
and life isnt exactly, as easy as
a Sunday morning.
Most days feel like a dreaded
Monday, where Im forced to skip
breakfast, Im only allowed two
hours of cartoons and I no longer
hear the sounds of the crashing
waves, lulling me to sleep.
She was proceeded in death
by her father Alfred Taylor jr,
mother Goldie Marie
Johnson, step mother Alice
Taylor, and sisters, Jodie Zens and Sandy Bates.
Vicki is survived by her daughter Darion Riggert of
Blythe, Ca. , brothers and sister in law Dennis and
Grace Taylor of Blythe Ca. , Donnie and Cheryl Taylor of
Needville Tx., sisters and brother in law Donna and
Jimmy Smalling of Redland Community, Ok, Becky and
Jim bob Skieens of Wright City, Ok, Traci Wilson of
Ardmore, Ok, And Kim Johnson of Blythe, Ca,. Her
special friend and father of her daughter Darren Riggert
of Blythe, Ca. Her beloved dogs Meka and EL; nieces
and nephews and beloved friends.
A memorial will be held at the American legion in Blythe,
Ca on July 29th at 11 am.

Oliver quietly passed away
on July 20, 2017 in
Placerville, CA. Millie was
born May 11, 1958 in
Indio, CA. Millie lived in
many places in California
but she loved her
mountain view from her
home in Camino, CA. She
will be remembered for her
irresistible smile that would
make you smile too. She
loved life and lived it to the
fullest. Through all her ups
and downs in her life she
was always there for her
family and friends. Her last
wish is that you remember
her with smiles and
laughter.

Millie left behind her husband, Robert Oliver, (Mother)

Alice Reyna, (sisters) Sylvia Lomeli, and Cathy
Montez,(brother) Alfie Montez to celebrate her life.
Preceding her are her Sisters, Rita Montez and Renee
Urias. She also leaves her aunt Cecilia (Linky), aunt
Gloria (Lonie), Aunt Rosie, aunt Juanita (Jenny), Uncle
Benjamin (Benny), and uncle Julian (con). She also
leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great
nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Millies life will be held at a future date.
