Introduction

What is PPE?
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
PPE means the equipment that is
worn to limit exposure to potentially
harmful substances or conditions.

Introduction
The objective of the PPE Program
is to:
- protect employees from the risk of
injury by creating a barrier against
work place hazards and to minimize
the impact of injuries.

Selection Appropriate of PPE

The personal protective equipment must be:


appropriate both to the risk and work involved;
duration of exposure;
fit the wearer correctly;

Harness to be adjusted not too tight &
wear at correct angle.
Do not paint & sticked too many stickers.
Inspect shell for cracks or sign of wear and
of loosen harness, broken straps or worn
stitches.
Do not paint alter or modify.
Keep clearance between shell & harness.

Summary
Before selecting appropriate PPE, a careful
hazard assessment should be performed to
ensure that the PPE selected will protect
against all relevant hazards.
When worn properly, PPE effectively reduces
risk of injury or death due to exposure to
workplace hazards.
Good implementations of PPE give a good
effect to construction site safety..
