Business Sector
Sialkot is known as exporters city of Pakistan as well as it is famous in the global due to the
exports of sports products and also exports the surgical, medical and dental instruments.
Sialkot city is placed in the Punjab province and close to the border of India. Sialkot has highly
contributed in per capita income of the Pakistan every year. Sialkot is known due to these
industries such as sports, surgical and leather goods. Sialkot products like leather wear,
surgical instruments and sports goods famous in all over the world.
The Dr. Frigz International is a manufacturing and export company in surgical, medical and
dental instruments. In product line of the company is included the General Surgery, Dental
and Electro Surgical Instruments. Dr. Frigz is one of the most leading exporters of Pakistan
with the international joint venture in America, Germany and Japan.
The company enjoys a lot with good status from the Government of Pakistan and has been
awarded best export performance award due to its increasing sales record. Since to its
beginning the company has employed huge efforts in modernize its facilities with new
technologies for meeting international customer satisfaction. As manufacturing company of
surgical instruments the company owes 478 employees as per year 2013. The workers of the
company are well trained who look after the technical operations within the company and
provide valuable support to the management. The company has fully capable of handling all
production needs in-house and within the huge production department sort from forging,
milling, and packing. Dr. Frigz believes that the best quality instruments with the best service
to all its customers in all over the world. Company exported his instruments in countries like
Germany, France, America, India, New Zealand, Turkey, Japan, Australia etc. Dr. Frigz applies
some good methodology of quality control and achieved major success because of its
implementation.
The Dr. Frigz is using latest software and latest machinery in the company. The company is
holding several international certificates and manufactured quality products in surgical
industry thats why the company has more demand in the international market. Because of
this Dr. Frigz International has got export performance trophy from the government.

Business volume of the Dr. Frigz International (PVT) Ltd. is given as under:
As per information of year 2013, the Company has authorized share capital 100,000 and ordinary
share of each Rs. 100.
The company paid up capital is Rs. 1,900,000
The net sales of the company for the year 2013 are 395,547,766
Total assets of the company for the year 2013 are 474,539,437
The company wants to increase its sales in coming years as evaluate from previous year. The
company has future plan to acquire more customer from all over the world. Company has
office in Germany, and America which is contact with the customers of that country. Company
is also finding some new customers for this purpose companys marketing staff display or
exhibit time to time for promoting companys business.

Here is briefly introduction of all departments in my report which is working in Dr. Frig
International (Pvt.) Ltd. The introduction of all departments is very important part of my
report.

1. Accounts & Finance Department:
Mr. Armoghan Sajjid is working as Accounts & Finance manager in Dr. Frigz International
(Pvt.) Ltd. There are seven people working under his supervision in this department. The
department also further divided in some small units like, cashier, internal auditor, vendor
billing, and accountants. This department is responsible for all the financial activities. This
department has performed different duties as under:
Prepare General Ledgers
Payments made to parties
Handling the bank transactions
Profit & Loss Account
Balance sheet
Making the salaries of the employees
Cash Flow Statement
Sales tax & Income tax

2. Import & Export Department
Mr. Hamid is manager of export department. The import & export department of the Dr. Frigz
International (Pvt.) Ltd. is responsible for all import shipments and export shipments of the
company. It is a very important department for the company. It deals with the product which
can be import and export. This department is responsible to apply for the rebate / refunds
against all the shipments made by the company. Its manager organizes the necessary
documentation relating to import or export of product, shipment, tracking of shipment and
dates schedule.
3. Production& Operation Department:
Mr. Babar is working as a production manager in Dr. Frigz international (Pvt.) Ltd. he handle
the matters related to production. Production department deals with the raw material and in
processing material to make final product. In Dr. Frigz production department use the latest
machinery and technology which was import from Germany and England and well-staffed
with the expert technicians.
4. Raw Material & Purchase Department:
Raw material plays important role in the producing of quality product. Because of this fact the
Dr. Frigz International have raw material and purchase department. This departments
function is to purchase raw material from different dealers at reasonable prices and after
purchasing this material is used for making the quality product.
5. Human Recourse Department:
Mr. Ahmad Fraz doing his duty as a HR manager in Dr. Frigz (Pvt.) Ltd There are four other
people working under Mr. Ahmad Fraz. The HR department of the company explains job
description, job specification to all the employees of the company. This department gives all
benefits to the companys employees such as health and medical care, training of employees,
retirement, bonus to employees, overtime of the employees, and retirement of the
employees.

6. IT Department:
The information technology department plays very important role in company. Mr. Ahmer is
the manager of IT department. All works relating to information technology like software,
hardware, and networking problems are solved by IT department.
7. Admin Department:
This departments supervisor is Mr. Qaisar. The responsibilities of this department are
providing information related to administrative to the organization. This department also
control the labor office, security and safety, transport management, provision of office
equipment for the staff use, provide office for all staff, office environment make neat and
clean and provide newspapers in all the staff offices. Without the approval of the admin
department no one can go outside from the organization for taking anything from the store.
8. Quality Control Department:
Mr. Naveed is the supervisor of the Quality Control Department. In this department the
quality of product is checked. This department makes sure that the products which are
produced are good quality or bad. After making the clearance from the Q.C department final
product is sent to the packing department for packaging.

Raw Material
Stainless steel and steel forgings both imported as well as local are major industrial inputs.
The other material required is processed chemicals
The manufacturers have concerns about the quality of the local steel as it reportedly doesnt
conform to health grade steel. Steel is mainly imported from Japan, France, Germany &
Taiwan. Due to volatile prices of imported raw material the Sialkot based firms find it difficult
to do long term forecasting.
There is a shortage of good quality Titanium because Titanium import is ban. Therefore the
Titanium is being taken from ship breaking which caused air bubbles in the material.

After the meeting with the sales manager of Dr.frigz. I have attain allot of knowledge about
the company strategies. So according to their strategies they have insure I the company
Dr.frigz set the prices of their product according to the specification of their customer. The
set the price of the product mostly for the satisfaction of their customers.in other sense they
also keep in mind the economy of Pakistan and the other country where they are actually
exporting their goods.
